3C Woodworking (Chipps - Custom - Creations) is an opportunity to merge my love for woodworking and crafting quality handmade made products with an audience that may be interested in having quality handmade products created. My projects do not leave my shop until I feel they meet my internal standard of quality, which is quite high. A project built by 3C may take a bit longer and cost a bit more,

however know that what you receive will meet and hopefully exceed your expectations. Whether it is furniture, barn doors, custom cabinet, built ins for your home and pretty much anything else you can dream up. All items are built in my home woodshop, right here in Pickerington. All wood is purchased from a small business in Johnstown from felled trees. Stop paying for cheap, low cost wood products made in China and support the little guy in your community.

Well this was a fun, challenging, bit sketchy, project. The top scaffolding level had me debating my life choices, lol. Awesome young family in Meadowmore Reserve (Pickerington) wanted to add some character to their great room. This accent feature certainly does that! Top of fireplace was over 20’ up. I usually work alone but had to recruit my guy Doug Hinkle for this one. Having that second set of hands was vital on this one. Color is Iron Ore. Stay tuned for final pics once the new mantle and floating shelves are in.

It’s this beautiful ladies birthday today! I would have no chance being able to do what I do without her support and encouragement. Her faith and support when I told her the crazy idea of trying to do woodworking full time was the nudge I needed. That was almost 9 years ago! Happy “29th” Birthday Steph!!

Spent the past week in Dublin giving these walls some character. Entryway and dining space needed a little glow up and traditional board & batten gives that much needed transformation. Entryway will receive textured navy wallpaper this weekend for a new color palette and texture. The dining space is ready to be decorated.

For reference, I was onsite for 4 days on this project. 3 days for install and 1 for painting. I personally cut every board, caulk every seam, fill every nail hole and paint every surface. Each detail gets the same level of quality. There’s no “team”, no subcontracted crew, no sale person, etc. If you want that level of personal touch, then I’m your guy 👍🏼

Of all the choices out there, thanks for picking us again and again! Having repeat clients reach out for more projects is highest badge of honor to us. The goal was to turn this small corner into the focal point of their master bedroom. I’ll be honest, when the original idea was pitched, I was a bit skeptical. It was a small corner, the ceiling is vaulted AND angled, there’s a floor vent, etc. Needless to say, we adapted and overcame those obstacles to create a show stopper corner fireplace wall! Mark another project off in Heron Crossing which has become my home away from home here in Pickerington.

This one was a challenge. Over 15’ of custom storage. On the outside it looks like 3 large cabinets and 1 shorter one. On the inside it is actually 13 separate pieces! 😳😳. Building it in sub assemblies was the only way to navigate the basement stairs and get the full height the clients wanted. One piece face frames gives the illusion of large, full size pieces. For perspective, the large doors are 28” wide x 80” tall, largest “cabinet doors” I have made, lol. Lots of obstacles to work around and small details that need to stay accessible. The goal was more storage but with a high end appearance. These might “basement” storage cabinets but they were made to the same quality standards as if they were in the living room. Natassja Designs gave me a design that put my skills to the test but I think we achieved her vision.

Finished up this one a few weeks back. Beautiful older home in Bexley that needed some storage for the voracious readers that live there, lol. We came up some some custom red oak shelving and a custom window bench seat that doubles as a bookcase. Couldn’t be happier with how this red oak from Zeyer Lumber came out. Rubio topcoat for the perfect color and sheen.

Project revisit…throwback to this wonderful pantry in Pickerington (Heron Crossing) we worked on last year. Not a ton of space to work with but we made the best of it with wraparound shelves, appliance caddies, and custom lower cabinets. This is the definition of form and function.
