We’re excited to welcome Ash Shah to Canopy as our new Chief Marketing Officer. 👋

Ash has spent more than 20 years building marketing teams and helping brands grow.

But what stood out to us was his understanding that growth shouldn’t come at the expense of what made a local brand worth knowing in the first place.

Ash will lead marketing across all of Canopy’s brands, working with our teams to strengthen how we reach customers and grow in each market.

AI will never replace the look of what's actually happening out in the field.

So this year, we’ve been spending a lot more time out there ourselves.

A lot of miles. A lot of roofs. And a much better look at the people behind our brands.

Throughout 2026, we've been traveling to Canopy companies across the country to build a new library of photography, drone footage, and video that brings the people, job sites, and personality of each brand into focus.

We want better ways to show what makes each company worth knowing.

As we head into the rest of 2026 and beyond, you'll start seeing more of this work across websites, socials, recruiting, ads, and the other places our brands tell their stories.

The goal is pretty simple: show the brands as they actually are.

Some recognition feels especially meaningful because you know how much work it took to get there.

That would miss the point.

Every strong local brand has its own market, its own people, its own history, and its own way of earning trust.

Our role is to support what already makes that brand valuable.

Adam Vaillancourt, founder of Adam Vaillancourt Roofing & Gutters, got emotional talking about what it really takes to build a company.

It's the years when the vision is still bigger than the results.

The days when you are exhausted, but the business still needs you to believe in what it can become.

A wide service map can look impressive... Meanwhile, crews are spending half the day in their trucks.

The estimator is crossing three counties for one appointment. Materials are being delivered in every direction. Marketing dollars are spread across towns where the company has little name recognition.

Growth doesn't have to mean going farther. It can mean tightening your footprint.

You understand a local business differently when you spend time inside it.

This week, our team was in the Philadelphia area with C&C Family Roofing & Siding.

We captured some new photo and video, but the best part was spending time with the people behind the work.

Pat, Joseph, and Rich had the chance to meet the C&C team in person, listen, and see how the business moves day to day.

The timing also mattered.

Their team currently onboarding with ServiceTitan, and Rich was there helping the team think through how to support their call center in a way that makes day-to-day management easier.

C&C has already built something real in their market, and we're grateful for the chance to help support what they are building next.
