Why do Backflow Prevention Assemblies fail annual testing?
There are may reasons for assemblies to fail annual testing. One of the most frequent causes of failure in backflow assemblies is dirt and debris that flows through the pipeline. The check valve can't close when the debris gets caught between the disc and seat and requires maintenance and sometimes new parts to operate properly (If the old parts are damaged).

At Bruton Backflow, we're mostly about keeping people's drinking water safe, through the testing and maintaining of backflow assemblies, but at this time of year, we think about the safe transport of local students.
