As a nurse, preventative health measures are so important to me. So… today we had come to The Nest by STORK for a screening day today and I was very impressed with my comprehensive screening!
I even got to see my full milk ducts on ultrasound! Next screening day at our sweet space is June 25th. Limited spots available!

Note to add that Dionne, the owner, caught her own breast cancer on ultrasound. It has been missed on mammogram just 6 months prior! She’s now in remission praise God! But this is so easy- it took 45-50 minutes for a FULL body scan! Even my husband did it! I am grateful have this option to know that everything looked good 😊

Today, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a day to remember the lives given in service to our country and the families forever changed because of it.

And today, I also want to hold space for those who came home… but not fully the same. For the veterans who returned carrying wounds we cannot always see — physically, mentally, and emotionally. For the parts of themselves they sacrificed in service to others.

To those we lost, we remember you.
To those still carrying the weight of service, we honor you too.
Your sacrifice matters. Your story matters. And your courage will never be forgotten.

May we live today with gratitude because of the freedom so many fought to protect. 🇺🇸

Two beautiful births. Two growing families. One very busy day for our doulas 🥰✨

Today, we had the honor of supporting TWO special deliveries, and our hearts are so full. Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of life’s biggest moments, and we never take for granted the trust our families place in us during such a sacred time.

Thank you for choosing Stork to walk alongside you through labor, birth, and the very first moments of parenthood. We are celebrating right alongside you today 🤍

Tag a new mama friend or comment “ME” for my top tips as a newborn nurse and postpartum doula on surviving the fussy weeks. * Newborns cry and fuss as a normal way to communicate — not because you’re doing something wrong.
* Most babies have a “fussy period” each day, often in the evening.
* Fussiness usually peaks around 6–8 weeks and gradually improves by 3–4 months.
* Babies can become overstimulated by lights, noise, being passed around, or even a busy day.
* Common reasons babies fuss: hunger, gas, needing comfort, being overtired, temperature discomfort, or wanting closeness.
* Newborns are still adjusting to life outside the womb and often calm with motion, swaddling, skin-to-skin, or rhythmic sounds.
* Overtired babies can actually become harder to settle, even when exhausted.
* Cluster feeding (wanting to feed very frequently) is common during growth spurts and does not always mean low milk supply.
* Some newborns simply have a more sensitive temperament than others.
* Fussiness alone is usually normal, but call your pediatric provider if baby has fever, poor feeding, breathing concerns, persistent vomiting, lethargy, or an unusual cry.
* Caring for a fussy newborn can feel exhausting — support for parents matters too.
