Derek Duran for Craig City Council
I was born and raised in Craig, and after graduating from Moffat County High School in 2006 I attended Colorado State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management and a Minor in Business Management. With family in Craig, and an opportunity to work for our family business, (Duran & Pearce Contractors) I returned in 2010. I plan on having
a long future here in Craig, and I want to get involved in this great community. I feel it is time for me to contribute and give back to the community that has had such a positive impact on my life. Running for City Council is a great opportunity. I want to help lead Craig in a positive direction for years to come. As a council member, I will be committed, dedicated and reliable. It is very important to me that we support small business and support all the local amenities that Craig and Moffat County have to offer. I want to help jump start our local economy and make Craig an even more appealing place for families and business to move to, be successful and live a good life while here. If elected, I will represent Craig and Moffat County in a positive way and will be willing to work hard, study hard and ask questions to ensure that we as a council are making the right decisions for this community - the decisions that will make Craig a better place to live and a place that will grow in a positive direction in the future. I will be able to represent a wide variety of Moffat County citizens through collaboration, communication, listening and most importantly time. I have the time and will put in the time to be a dedicated councilman. It is time for Craig to come together and make a plan. A plan that we can follow through with, that will build for the future and make this great place an even better place for us all. I would appreciate your vote for Craig City Council. Regards,
