Cranberry Organics Island gardening services As a certified organic gardener and third generation islander, I steward gardens on the beautiful Cranberry Isles.

I'm passionate about helping home owners and summer residents grow healthy food, plant stunning flowers, and keep landscapes looking fresh from April to October. With me, you can set up project-based work (e.g., build raised beds with a fence) or ongoing services (e.g., maintaining gardens all season). I have clients on Great Cranberry and Islesford, and am expanding services to Suttons Island. Su

One of our standout projects to share is last yearโ€™s build on Great Cranberry Island.

In the fall of 2023, Sam King and Jim Gertmenian approached us with a vision: a large, enclosed gardening space featuring accessible raised beds at waist height, complete with a tall fence to keep the deer out. We worked together to design a space where the garden could thrive, and the vision quickly became a reality.

The wood delivery arrived that fall, and we broke ground. We laid the foundation, built the garden walls and raised beds, and then paused for the winter months.

When spring rolled around, we returned to complete the projectโ€”adding our custom blend of soil, compost, and fertilizer to the beds, designing and building the gate, and installing the deer fence, just in time for the growing season.

Now, the King/Gertmenian family is set to enjoy abundant harvests for many years to come!
