This girl has stolen our hearts with those adorable, fluffy feet! 🥹🪶 I mean, seriously… how can you NOT love those feathered little boots?! 👢🐔
Lainey is officially the last of our new girls to be introduced, and we’re so happy to have her as part of our little flock! 🐓💛

🐾 PROUD LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOG MOM MOMENT! 🐾
Drax got his first Ki‼️, and we couldn't be prouder of our big boy! 🐕‍🦺💪

Being a livestock guardian dog is more than just hanging out with the chickens and looking handsome. 😉 It's a job, and Drax is learning exactly what his job is. We have chickens to protect, and he's taking that responsibility seriously! 🐓❤️

Now, as a yogi who believes in compassion for all living things, I have to admit that I have some mixed emotions about an animal's life being taken. 🙏🌿 It's a reminder that life on the homestead isn't always picture-perfect, and sometimes the realities of nature are difficult to process. But at the end of the day, we have livestock that depend on us to keep them safe, and Drax has a job to do. He did that job, and he did it well. We're incredibly proud of him and the instincts he's developing as our livestock guardian. 🐾🤎

Homestead life is beautiful, messy, rewarding, and sometimes a little hard on the heart.

🥚🧡 OKAY, BUT LOOK AT THESE YOLKS!! 🧡🥚

We recently switched our chickens to a new feed, and y’all… LOOK at the difference! 😍🍳 These yolks are SO ORANGE, and I can’t get over how beautiful they are!

We switched to organic, non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free feed, and our girls also get to free-range and scratch around like chickens should. 🐓🌱

We’re always looking for ways to provide the best care for our girls and the best eggs possible for our family and yours! ❤️

This is exactly why we’re so passionate about knowing where our food comes from and being intentional about what we feed our animals. 🏡🌿
