Good morning customers, readers, and viewers! It’s a beautifully cold day here in the Willamette Valley 😊
After taking a sabbatical from social media over the past several months, I’m back—refreshed and focused, with new goals for the year ahead. I’ll be posting more often and working to connect more with the community, teach and share about sustainable gardening, and possibly offer rewards and giveaways along the way.
Feel free to watch for updates, react often, and share anything you find useful—whether for your future self or someone else. I may not post every day, and I won’t always post the weather, but today felt like a good day to start.

It’s currently 26°F (-3°C) with a chance of snow❄️ If we do get snow or ice, please reach out if you need your driveway shoveled, scraped, or salted.

Today is the 8th day of the year, and we’re just 70 days away from the start of spring 🌿

Here's a song from one of my favorite local artists.

This is my favorite time of year! I LOVE blueberries and just about any other fruit we can grow here. But, now, I've found an even sweeter fruit that I can enjoy. Pink lemonade blueberries!! Boy oh boy, I can't get enough of these!

Planning our fall & winter gardens is in full swing here! If possible, we recommend planting selected crops to harvest in fall, winter, and spring to guarantee yourself a continuous supply of produce throughout the cold months. Consult our Winter Gardening Chart and individual crop culture information to determine which crops will work best for your needs. Please keep in mind that planting and harvest dates are for the Maritime Northwest; check local resources for adjusted planting times for your area.
