Quick Backstory: My fiancé (m33) and I (f29) are getting married in Sept 26’. Our friends [fake names] Stan (m34) and Zoe (f33) just got married May 25’. We asked Stan and Zoe to be our BM and MOH, they both said yes. In June my MOH calls and says she cant be my MOH anymore due to some health issues. Also she has to avoid stress, and isn't sure if she'd be able to handle the wedding planning and her own medical bills. I tell her that if she still wants to be included or be a bridesmaid to keep me posted Aug. 7th I ask my sister to be my new MOH. The end of Aug. I check in with Zoe. She responds with “--the procedure went well I am still waiting on the official results, but the nurse said things looked good, so I am optimistic.” I heard nothing after that and got my last brides maid in Sept. November 4th Stan and Zoe reach out asking if Zoe is a bridesmaid? I said "I already have my Bridal Party. We wanted you to take a break for your health. You're more than invited to all the

I’m posting this from my wife’s account and both perspectives are included. I, the husband, am asking if I’m the *******. This is a topic we’ve been debating for the past almost two years now. It’d be great to get some outside perspective and judgement. My perspective (husband): My wife went into labor three weeks early so somewhat unexpectedly. Over the prior couple months I had started developing an intermittent toothache. About two or three hours into the 19 hour labor, I probably ate something delicious. After eating something delicious, I can’t quite remember what it was, my tooth started hurting in an ungodly way. I’m talking sharp, eye-watering pain. Her contractions at this point were very far apart, and she was in very little discomfort. Over the next couple of hours the toothache became a competing topic of conversation with the imminent birth of our first child. I didn’t want to leave her side to look for medicine until her parents arrived. Once they arrived, to my surprise I was able to find an oral numbing medication at the hospital convenience store. That with a couple Excedrin was able to alleviate the pain just as my wife’s contractions started

My brother and our close mutual friend have been staying in my guest house since me and my wife bought our place. They have the means to get living spaces of their own, but we all enjoy this arrangements. In fact, I was specifically searching for a home with a guest house space. We split the utilities, but I don't charge them rent. There's an open door policy when it comes to me coming and going. I'll usually go hang out with them after dinner, and sometimes if I can't sleep I'll go hang out. They're welcome to come hang out at the main house anytime they see my car in the driveway so they know I'm there. Occasionally my wife will join us for these hang outs but it isn't often. She and my friend/my brother seem to have conflicting personalities. An incident occurred two weeks when my friend came home and found my wife standing in the living room of the guest house on her phone. This was obviously strange and a little off putting, but he just greeted her and went to his room. She left a little while later. He brought this up to me, but

Myself and my wife have been married for six years. Things have not been so great the last week months. She suggested that we go away for the weekend and we booked a weekend break in Amsterdam. We both live in Bath. So not a long flight for us. I work for an American company on West coast hours. So finish work a lot later then her. But I was able to make arangements to finish early on Thursday. Our flight was Friday morning. She has class after work on Thursdays, it is an online course. So not that taxing and she didn't need to leave the house to go. She starts work at 9 am and finished at 5:30 PM. Her class runs from 6 pm until 10 pm. When she finished work she came into my office (I work from home as well). Told me she was going to pack as she had to get up at 6 the next morning to drive. I told her that was not ok, that we both had to clean up. That she should start, and that when I finished in two hours I would help her finish off cleaning the house.

My fiancee is in university finishing her MA. She lives with her parents but we are planning on moving in together as soon as she is done school. We have looked at a few homes but she is never happy with them and says we should wait until she can contribute to the down payment and the mortgage. One of my uncles is moving to Mexico for his retirement and he offered me an amazing price on his house. It's way too big for me or us but the price was too good to pass up. He isn't emotionally attached to the house or anything. He bought it after his divorce and it has been his party house ever since. I had enough for the downpayment and because of the price I paid I can pay the property taxes added to the mortgage and still be paying less than I would be for anything else that I would buy in my city. But now my fiancee is mad that I bought our first home without involving her. I said I would have no problem selling the house and picking one with her and we could use my equity to put

26f. I lost my job in December. I was put on bed rest (pregnancy complications). My husband's job only paid $16 an hour and as luck would have it, our rent was increased from $950 to $1400 the same month. We couldn't afford it so we were evicted. I had been searching for WFH but of course I couldn't find anything. We had to vacate our place on February 4th and we ended up having to live out of our van, with his 1yo dog. Given that I was supposed to be on bed rest and me already blaming myself for this (due to me losing my job), it took a huge toll on my mental state. Especially where there was no room with his dog and he REFUSED to let anyone take her temporarily. I never slept because I was always being walked on or her whining in my ear. Well, in May we were able to buy a camper with money he had saved and we are currently parked at a state park. Keep in mind that my husband outright refused to ask for help during the entire time we were living out of our van. He only

This happened two weeks ago. I(35M) was on a holiday with my wife (32F), while returning we had an 8 hour flight ahead of us. I normally plan ahead on selecting the seats and meal plans so there's no hassle. Since we didn't have check in luggage and everything was in small carry on for both of us, we decided to skip the queue and went to the automated kiosk to to print our boarding card. When I printed it out I noticed that the seats were not the one I paid for. Moreover they separated my wife and I by 7 rows, and what's worse both were middle seats. I was confused at this point and went to the check in counter. They told me they made the switch because some couple with a small kid asked them to be seated together. I tried being civil with them by explaining that I paid for those seats and they can't just give it away, however they kept insisting that they don't have any seats to spare. So I basically held up the line(there were only 2 counters, one was closed and I was on the other one) by saying that

Two years ago my sister started dating her husband James. James had lost his wife two years prior to them meeting. James has two kids from that first marriage. A 10 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. My sister became pregnant a few months into their relationship and he proposed. They were already living together. James' kids were already expressing that they didn't want their dad to marry someone else and they didn't want a new family. They acted out a lot and it was worse when my sister was doing anything with them. Even if she just had one kid with her. They begged their dad to leave her. When my sister was newly pregnant James' son told someone at the store that she had taken him and he wanted his dad. Store security got involved and the cops were called. James punished his son severely and told his daughter she should learn from her brother and better not treat my sister that way. My sister tried to get the kids involved in preparing for the baby and they were all noped out with that. They gave no input, they walked away any time the baby

My (29f) cousin Frankie (33m), and his wife Nora (32f) have been married almost 15 years. They got married a couple weeks after Nora's 18th birthday. Last weekend they announced to the family at a get together that they were having a second wedding in September as they were now in a position where they could afford to finally celebrate their marriage with friends and family the way they wanted to. When they married originally it was just the two of them and two friends at the court house. But Nora had always wanted the big fancy white wedding. Now usually this wouldn't be a problem, I'm happy for Frankie and Nora and excited to get to attend their wedding. However the date they've picked, is the day before my wedding. My fiance (29m) have been together for 9 years and have been planning our wedding for the last 3 years. We've have our date and venue booked for 2 years. Our save the dates only went out last month. When they announced their date, I asked Nora privately if they were joking with the date they had picked. Nora looked at me really confused, until I pointed out they

Here's the background: While on a study abroad, my husband "Robert" got his foreign girlfriend "Elizabeth" pregnant. Their relationship was rocky and they've been broken up since Tim was about 1. I met Robert when their son "Tim" was 3 years old, Robert and I have now been together 13 years. When I met Robert he was upfront that Tim always comes first and unfortunately is a package deal with Elizabeth until Tim is old enough for solo international travel - this was 'unfortunate' because at that time Robert and Elizabeth hated each other. My parents-in-law have always paid for plane tickets for Elizabeth and Tim to visit. Elizabeth and Tim usually visit for 2-3 weeks every year. Robert always requested my presence for these visits, to build a relationship with Tim and (at least the first few years) for moral support dealing with Elizabeth. Elizabeth has (mostly) been nice to me although it's very superficial - we are not friends. She's fine with the in-laws, because they're very nice people who just want a relationship with their grandson and would never jeopardize that access. Robert and Elizabeth's relationship gradually improved, and by the time Tim was 7 they were
