Faux beams are officially in the works! 🙌

We knew wrapping these 16” interior beams was going to be one of the biggest design hurdles in this new build. Since we didn’t want to glue up multiple boards, we were limited to finding material at least 17” tall.

We first considered cedar plywood, but that would have meant adding some type of strap or trim piece to hide the seams every 8 feet. For the cost, it just didn’t give this home the look it deserved.

So we pivoted.

Instead, we built these custom faux beams and went for an old-world timber look. Once we nailed down the texture and color, it was time to get to work — and the transformation has already made a huge impact.

This is one of those projects that creates a major aesthetic upgrade and can be tailored to fit so many different styles. We’ll definitely be doing more of these in the future.

We took this space from outdated and worn to clean, modern, and built to last. Every detail was rethought—from the layout to the finishes—to create something that feels both high-end and functional for everyday use.

Motion-activated stair lights 🤌 Although missing the first step at 2am builds character, some are willing to take the shortcut and skip that part.

These turned out awesome. If you’re remodeling stairs or building new, why not add them?!

Building a home is one big cycle of making a mess and cleaning it up — and today was a clean-up day!
We’re getting close to the finish line on this custom new build for some awesome first-time homeowners, and we couldn’t be more excited for them.
