The goats are officially on the job at Lake McMurtry 🐐🌿

These hard-working brush-clearing crews are helping us manage overgrowth naturally while reducing the need for heavy machinery and herbicides. As they rotate through grazing areas, you may notice temporary electric fencing in place. The fencing is there to safely contain the goats while they work and should not be touched or crossed.

Please help us keep both visitors and goats safe by:
• Staying outside fenced grazing zones
• Supervising children closely
• Keeping pets away from fencing areas
• Enjoying the goats from a respectful distance

This is a fun and educational way to support healthier land management while giving our community a chance to see sustainable conservation in action. If you see the goats around the park, snap a photo and tag us! 🌱💚

DID YOU KNOW Bottle-fed baby goats are incredibly affectionate and enjoy being held, cuddled, and climbing on people. Cuddling these kids can cause an oxytocin overload! They release the happy chemicals in your brain making you relaxed, happy, and reduce stress.
Don’t take our word for it, Sweat Yoga and Fitness from Stillwater got to see first hand in our first ever goat yoga session! This was awesome to be apart of!
