Another cleanup and seeding job wrapped up. We opened this area back up, cleaned out the brush, and put down grass seed to help turn it into more of a park-like setting once it fills in.
It’s always nice seeing a rough wooded area get shaped into something clean, usable, and easy to maintain.

We like a challenge, and this yard was definitely one of them.
This steep hillside started out looking almost impossible, but we got it cleaned up, shaped, seeded, and protected. On the steep side, we used no-mow grass seed to help keep maintenance down, then used regular grass seed throughout the rest of the yard. All the hills were covered with erosion control matting to help hold everything in place, and the flatter areas were finished with straw.
Steep hills, tough access, erosion issues, and a whole lot of dirt work, but that’s the kind of job we enjoy taking on.

Another project finished up by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC.
For this job, we installed a dark #57 limestone walking path to give the property a clean, natural-looking walkway that stands out nicely against the lawn and landscaping. We also brought in sod to really dress up the area and give it an instant finished look.
Along the driveway, we backfilled with fresh topsoil, put down grass seed, and installed erosion control matting to help hold everything in place while the new grass gets established.
A few simple upgrades can completely change the look and function of an outdoor space.

Another drainage job wrapped up by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC.
This property was having issues with water running toward the front of the house, so we installed a catch basin with 6-inch non-perforated drain tile to carry the water away. Alongside that, we added 4-inch perforated drain tile to help collect groundwater and surface water through the area.
We used #57 limestone as the base and backfilled the entire trench with #57 limestone for proper drainage. Where the tile outlets into the grass ditch, we cleaned it up with #1 and #2 limestone to help control the flow and give it a finished look.
Good drainage makes a big difference, especially before water becomes a bigger problem around the foundation.

Just wrapped up a few extra finishing touches on this lakeside landscape project we recently completed.
We added a custom live edge cedar bar top, and it really brought the whole outdoor space together. The natural cedar grain and live edge gives it that rustic, one-of-a-kind look while still being a clean, functional spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the view.
We also installed 4x4 posts with Edison-style string lights to give the area a warm glow in the evenings and make the space feel more finished and inviting.
It’s always the extra details that take a project from nice to something special.

Amazing transformation on this lakeside property.
This project started with old wood edging on a steep, challenging hillside and was transformed into a clean, usable outdoor space. We installed landscaping fabric underneath the new gravel to help keep the area cleaner and cut down on weeds, then finished it off with beautiful 18-inch limestone chunks and a custom fire pit built right into the space.
The limestone gives it a natural, rugged look that fits perfectly with the wooded lake setting, while the gravel makes the area much more usable and low maintenance.
Not every job has easy access, but that’s what makes the finished product even better. This went from a plain hillside area to a custom lakeside hangout spot ready for evenings by the fire.

Another driveway brought back to life by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC!
This project included over 300 feet of driveway restoration. We started by ripping the entire driveway to break up the existing surface, then used our mini excavator to cut clean, straight edges for a crisp finished look. Finally, we topped the entire driveway with fresh 304 crushed limestone, graded it smooth, and left it ready to handle years of use.
It's amazing what proper grading and a fresh layer of stone can do for the appearance and longevity of a driveway.

Another driveway transformation completed by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC! 💪
We regraded the entire driveway to restore a smooth surface and improve water runoff. We also installed #1 and #2 limestone approximately 3 feet deep in front of the garage to improve drainage and provide a solid, long-lasting base where it was needed most.
The only new gravel added was on the lower section of the driveway to freshen it up and tie everything together.

300+ Feet of Limestone Shoreline Wall Complete!
Another incredible transformation completed by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC.
This pond originally had no retaining wall. We installed over 300 feet of massive limestone building blocks to stabilize the shoreline, prevent erosion, and give the pond a clean, natural look that will last for years.
To complete the project, we also: • Cleared the overgrown hillside and unwanted vegetation. • Graded and reshaped the area. • Seeded the hillside with fast-growing rye for erosion control. • Applied grass seed throughout the remaining areas for a finished look.
The best part? The homeowner was so happy with the results that they immediately hired us to come back and build another 270 feet of limestone shoreline wall on the opposite side of the pond! There's no better compliment than a customer asking you to do even more work.

Another amazing transformation completed by Hidden Valley Landscaping LLC! 💪🌿
This project started with old, failing timber retaining walls that were collapsing, allowing the hillside to erode and creating an unsafe, unattractive entrance to the walkout basement.
We removed the deteriorated walls, excavated and reshaped both hillsides, installed beautiful natural outcropping stone retaining walls, added decorative river rock for long-term erosion control, and finished the walkway with fresh gravel to create a clean, durable entrance.
The difference is night and day! Not only does it dramatically improve the appearance of the property, but it also provides a stronger, longer-lasting solution that will protect the hillside for years to come.
There's nothing more rewarding than taking a failing landscape and turning it into something that's both functional and built to last.
