How much time have you spent this year arguing over charges you didn’t agree to on your credit cards? Subscriptions you were not expecting to pay for? I had issues with a hack; so I cancelled and reordered a card. Then signed up for a subscription on a different card. Just realized I’ve been paying for the subscription on both cards for most of the last year. 🤦‍♂️ people will take your money from you if you don’t watch after it!! I still don’t think it’s worth my time to be constantly monitoring my purchases. Even though I purchased 4 nights in a hotel @ $77 a night for $577. Resort fee somewhere buried in the agreement. 🤷‍♂️. Internet advertised @ $59. Admin, convienence, and tech fees also billed monthly. Bringing the cost up by 40 percent over advertised!! It only gets worse if good people don’t stand up to it!! It’s an obvious try at taking advantage of those who won’t push back!!

I apologize for my constant perpetuity to philosophical claims. 😬. That being said here’s another. Our children are born perfect. They cry to let us know when they need something as infants. They laugh genuinely whenever they want to. They smile genuinely at everything that makes them happy, and they cry genuinely at anything that makes them sad. They react with absolute honesty to every situation. Do we teach them? Or do they remind us of who we are supposed to be?
I didn’t know how to be a parent. What is being a parent? My daughter taught me me how to be one everyday and continues to. I know that she is the most beautiful thing in the world I’ve ever known to me! Maybe because she came from me? Maybe because we connect on every level. Maybe because I was allowed to create; and she has so much of me in her!
She’s the most beautiful thing in the world to me! But what I see now is my place just being not ruining that! Reflection: our job as parents is to coddle them and then do our best not to ruin them with our problems!

Once again doing a remodel that is attempting to aprecciate the time and nature that a house was built around. This was all done with Azeck products which is french for plastic, but it does cut like wood. I had to answer to an architect on this one, so most of the detail I had fabricate. The eliptical dormer is an added detail that cost well beyond its function, because it doesn't have one other than outside looks. The bay window was put together with more individually cut and detailed pieces of wood(plastic), then you wold believe. The architect wanted to create depth and glamor in all that white. So what you see in the bay window is wood on top of wood on top of wood to create a depth in your perception. The top pieces of the bay needed 9 precise cuts in order to fit right and if 1 was off it would sell out the rest. Glad to be done with this one!

Preserving the idea of a 100 year old house. Everthing exposed and painted over. (After I was done). Exposed rafters to match the house, exposed soffit applied. then extra layers to make sure the shingle nails didn't show through. stained soffit on the inside with a boxed out fixture. New deck with composite decking and fiberglass railing. Cedar siding and cedar wrapped look. Old carpentry techniques appreciated and replicated intentionally throughout the building process to preserve the aesthetic value of the house, and to respect the effort that one day long ago carpenters got paid to make things look pretty and to build right.

A cabin in the middle of the woods. Off the ground, but secured to footings, finished on the inside and out, insulated, but no power or water. Material and labor less then $12,000. Less then the cost of the 4-wheeler to get there plus the guns used there:)
