Storm damage found during this inspection on this large custom home. This damage was not visible from the ground. If you have a large, OLD roof like this, it only makes sense to have it inspected every year. Older roofs are much more susceptible to storm damage.

BEFORE YOU FILE AN INSURANCE CLAIM…call a specialist contractor that can forensically assess your roof. We are few and far between, but we do exist!

🫣 Much of the VISIBLE damage to this church roof was not visible from the ground

🫣 many of the shingles were damaged UNDERNEATH - tears, pulled-through nails…

😱 most contractors don’t know how to check for this, much less document it, and

😱 99% of insurance adjusters aren’t going to spend the time to sniff this damage out!

Many people snap-file an insurance claim BEFORE having an investigative contractor out to……
📸 assess/document the damage ( news flash, 3 pics doesn’t cut it)

🔨 see if the damage is even repairable (many old roofs aren’t repairable for one reason or another)

……then they are surprised when the insurance doesn’t buy their roof or WORSE gives them a “4 shingle repair” on a roof that is repairable.

BOTTOM LINE: never jump into an insurance claim without having a specialist like a TOP RUUF inspector with you on the front end to make sure your claim has a viable chance of succeeding.
