|| THE STORY OF A HOUSE. - FINAL THOUGHTS FROM JDA ||
Contemporary or traditional, and everything in between, and across all budgets; our style is the best version of yours. People say that planning is the first step and the key to any great design, but it’s actually the second. The first step for each project at JDA, (whether it's commercial or residential), is to review the budget and interview the client, asking dozens of questions about them. These questions can be very personal, and people often respond with “why do you need to know that?” In the end, the client’s responses help in two ways; first in building trust between us and the client, letting them know we have their best interests at heart. Second, their responses help us shape the real requirements of the home the clients want, but don’t know how to ask for. For a kitchen or bathroom project, this allows us to know what storage solutions and appliances we need to plan around from the start. We know what products are out there and what’s possible, so we can build in as many features and as much technology as needed to create a beautiful home you can live in now and long into the future.

|| The Client's Favorite Bathroom Feature ||
Their favorite thing is the wood tile starting on the floor, wrapping up the shower wall, and continuing across the ceiling. They could not visualize it at first, so the ceiling took some convincing. “Trust me” came out of my mouth more than once, but after it was installed and the bathroom was completed, they fell in love. We also incorporated an outlet into the vanity drawer for a hairdryer, (a trick from my luxury hotel days), so it is always plugged in, always in reach, and never seen.

|| THE CLIENT'S DESIRES FOR THE MASTER BATHROOM ||
Initially, the bath was planned for a shower only, but before we went to permit they approached us and said they did actually want a tub. sketched out several options for layouts, taking some space from the generously sized master bedroom, and coordinated with to create the final 5 fixture bath.
JDA wanted the bath to be black, which is easier with the ample clerestory windows. However, the windows presented a new problem; they’re too low for typical sconces and mirrors to fit on the wall. We ended up sourcing the custom edge-lit and backlighted vanity mirror from in Canada to provide plenty of lighting at the vanity.
