Harley raking a gravel driveway is a great way to bring life back to an existing surface. It pulls buried stone back up, re-levels the drive, and helps restore proper shape and drainage.

That said, sometimes there simply isn’t enough stone—or the stone is too small—to hold up long term. In those cases, adding new material is the best solution. Unfortunately, we don’t always know for sure what we will get until we get started.

If adding stone isn’t in the budget right now, we can still improve things by regrading the surface and compacting it with a roller to get it as firm as possible. This can be repeated as needed until more material can be added.
