Small footprint, three ways to cook.

Not every patio has room for a 54-inch built-in, and not every homeowner wants one. What matters more is whether a compact grill can cover a whole menu.

Here is what we look for: a solid grilling surface for the everyday cooks, a griddle option for breakfast and smash burgers, and a high-heat infrared zone for finishing steaks. A rust-proof build and a long warranty (this one carries 15 years) tell you it will still look right a decade from now.

Give the grill its own zone.

On this project the cooking side got a Delta Heat 38" built-in grill, a tandoor oven, and counter space on both sides for prep and plating. Drinks and refrigeration live in a separate U on the other side of the pavilion, so guests never crowd the cook.
