You’ve been lied to about 1-gallon pots! And it could be costing you a lot of money in your garden. There’s a better option: deep plugs! Deep plugs cost less, they have healthier roots, they’re easy to plant, and they use less water to get established. Here in with our mandatory watering restrictions, they’re a perfect water-wise method to fill in your garden! Especially with native plants! Send me a message or email to learn more, and follow for more tips! Happy plants, happy planet!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We’ve sold out! We had a line going down the block. Sorry about the wait! Thanks to everyone who came and showed up early. I’m humbled by the community support, and I really loved chatting with everyone about native plants. I will try and set up a FALL SALE, depending on interest! Thanks again!

It’s hail season out here in ! For us gardeners, that requires some creative ways to deal with the yearly damage caused by hail. For me, I reuse this thick 4mm plastic sheeting for several years, and it works well. In the end, we pay for a recycling service that can take this type of sheeting. How do YOU deal with hail?

Native Plant Sale on May 30th! I’ll be in Denver next Saturday, May 30th selling my DP50 deep plugs. Deep plugs are the easiest way to fill in your landscape using an auger drill bit, or simply digging a narrow hole. Their deep root system allows them to get established very quickly, even in drought-like conditions here in Colorado. I’ll have Pale Purple Coneflower, Fox Sedge, six different Penstemon species, and others! Hope to see you next Saturday! Dm for specifics.

Let’s kill the grass and plant a MowWise Native Meadow! Here in Colorado, we’re under mandatory watering restrictions this year. By removing the non-native Kentucky bluegrass lawn and planting native sedges, grasses, and wildflowers, we’ll cut back on water usage by at least half! And we’ll support native wildlife like birds, bees, and other insects. It’s a win-win! Send me a message or email, or comment “More!” below for more information. Happy planting!

Happy ! If you’d like to know more about tossing your turfgrass, comment below! Here in non-native Kentucky bluegrass turf is one of the largest wastes of water. It requires 18-26” of supplemental irrigation each growing season, just to stay green! If we all removed part of our lawns, we’d create wildlife habitat, support pollinators, reduce water use, and slash carbon emissions through reduced mowing! Send me a message if you want to learn more.
