Today’s office view 😂
System kept ‘losing water’ every time they tried bleeding the air out of the line… turns out somebody left the drain valve open on the surge tank section line. So all they were doing was filling the surge tank instead of the line. Sometimes leak detection turns into detective work.”

Pools don’t lose 6 inches of water a day for no reason…

Not every pool leak requires a full pressure test right away. 👀💧

These isolation cones let us quickly test individual return lines to determine whether a line is leaking before moving into full pressure testing. It’s a faster way to narrow things down and pinpoint the problem more efficiently.

In this case, the fitting showed leak activity, but the actual break was ultimately located about 3 feet away under the pool deck in the return line itself. Leak located and marked for repair.

Some leaks are bigger than water loss.

This rehab pool isn’t just a pool — it’s a place people rely on for recovery, therapy, mobility, and healing. When excessive water loss started becoming an issue, it became important to locate the problem quickly so the facility could stay focused on helping the people who depend on it every day.

At Leak Detection Of The Rockies, every leak matters because every property has a purpose. Whether it’s a family home, an apartment complex, a community water line, or a rehabilitation pool like this one — we’re grateful to play a small role in helping keep these places operating the way they should.

Glad we could assist in finding the issue and helping get this facility one step closer to serving the people who need it most. 💧

Everything looks perfect… until it’s actually tested 😅
Called out to pressure test before backfill and found two leaking glue joints (marked in blue). This is why testing matters.”

You never know what you’ll uncover on a leak detection job.”

Main drain inspections aren’t just a quick look—getting eyes on the housing underwater can reveal cracks and failures you’d never see from the surface.

Using acoustic listening to precisely locate a leak beneath the pool deck. Every job matters—but this one’s special… my kids grew up swimming here, so I guess you could say I’ve been training for this one for years 😄 Leak Detection of the Rockies

They jackhammered the entire bottom of this spa out because it wouldn’t stop cracking.

Think it was just concrete?

Nope.

Pressure test = instant water shooting from a cracked 90° inside the plumbing.

And this was just one of several leaks.

Always test before you rebuild.

The water district reported a 15-gallon-per-hour loss with no visible signs. After introducing tracer gas into the line, bubbling appeared in the meter pit — revealing the leak. The source was pinpointed to the sprinkler stop-and-waste valve located just 4 inches from the meter pit. Even the smallest leaks can be located with precision using the right methods.

Tracer gas injected into the home’s main cold water supply to pinpoint a deep slab leak.
The excavation you see beneath the slab shows just how far down this break was — leaks like this can go undetected for months without the right equipment.
No guessing. Just precise detection. 💨💧
