We know we do not post as often as we should, and we want to be honest about why.

Blue Sky Renovations Iowa LLC is currently an owner operated business with no office employees. I am the person meeting homeowners, preparing estimates, ordering materials, coordinating projects, checking the quality of the work, answering calls and handling the daily responsibilities of the company.

We also do not have a marketing team following us around with a camera. Most days, I have to choose between making videos and taking care of our customers and projects. The work will always come first.

A quiet page does not mean we are not working. Most of the time, it means we are busy doing the work.

We are going to make a better effort to share more projects, explain our process and provide useful information for homeowners.

A new roof isn't always just new shingles.

When we opened this roof, we took the project all the way down to what really matters.

We removed two layers of existing shingles, removed the rotted roof decking, and opened the roof system so we could address what was underneath instead of covering it up.

The old insulation was removed and replaced with CertainTeed InsulSafe fiberglass blown-in insulation. We installed the ventilation baffles correctly between the rafters to maintain proper airflow, followed by all new roof decking.

Once the structure was rebuilt, we completed the roofing system and installed new GAF Natural Shadow architectural shingles.

This is the part of roofing homeowners don't always get to see.

A roof can look beautiful from the street, but the work underneath is what determines whether it was actually done right.

Another successful deck transformation completed by Blue Sky Renovations Iowa LLC.

The original deck had reached the end of its service life and no longer met the homeowner's needs. We demolished the existing structure and built a larger, stronger deck with a modern design, pressure treated framing, and low maintenance black aluminum railings.
