Ingersoll Park Circle Garden

Ingersoll Park Circle Garden Today, it remains a great place for neighbors young and old to enjoy!

The Ingersoll Park Circle Garden is a labor of love started by a group of neighbors under the guidance of Mark Kane years ago to beautify the circle space in the neighborhood.

Ingersoll Park Holiday Walk is THIS SUNDAY from 6-8pm!
This year we'll be gathering at Paul Goodwin's home, located at 648 Harwood.

We'll be condensing the walk to just one home to get us back in the swing of things. We would love for neighbors to sign up to bring something to share. We're asking all donations be dropped off between 4-5pm (BEFORE THE HOLIDAY WALK BEGINS) to ensure we have plenty of time to set up. Drinks and paper products can be dropped off earlier if necessary.

Please be sure to write in what you plan to bring, so we can have a good variety of options. Come eat, drink and be merry with your neighbors!

The Ingersoll Park Neighborhood Association will be hosting our Annual Block Party on Saturday, September 3rd from 4pm- dusk on the Woodland/44th St. island! The Association will be providing drinks (soda, beer, water, lemonade), plates, napkins, silverware, and several gas grills for everyone to use. Please bring meat or veggies to grill for your family and a side to share with your neighbors!

We'd also love for you to bring your favorite yard games, lawn chairs, and blankets to sit on, PLUS bikes and scooters for the kids. The annual block party is always a great chance to connect with your neighbors and meet new people!

If you're near the 44th/Woodland island and can donate the use of your grill for the evening, please message Jamie Seitz.

Let's cross our fingers for great weather! (Rain date will be Sunday, September 4th at the same time.)

See you soon and enjoy the last few days of summer!

Saturday, May 14th @ 9 am Hi neighbors! The circle garden at Harwood and 44th is looking for volunteers! Hi neighbors!

Our Annual Ingersoll Park Holiday Walk is going to look the same as last year, being completely outside. Yes, it's sad we won’t be gathering in people’s homes for delicious food and drinks to mingle and chat and catch up and check out who is renovating what...

BUT… the Ingersoll Park Neighborhood Association has come up with a fun way to celebrate. It's going to be fun and exciting and we would love it if you and your family would participate.

STEP 1: Calling all Clark W. Griswolds! Some of us in the neighborhood really love to decorate our houses for the holidays. This year, we’re asking you ALL to unleash your inner “Sparky” and really go for it. Twinkle lights, luminaries, blow-up Buddy the Elfs, life-size candy canes- yes please! Get creative! Let’s give Jolly Holiday Lights a run for its money.

STEP 2: Calling all Porch Musicians! If you’re musical or you just have a decent sound system, we’re asking you to help entertain the rest of us who can’t hold a tune. Whether it’s your whole family caroling in matching hats and scarves, you alone lip-synching Silent Night, or inviting your entire band to play our very first Neighborhood-a-palooza, we’d love to see you set up SAFELY on December 12th from 6-8 pm in your garage, on your front lawn, or on your front porch, so neighbors can safely stroll by and stop to listen to all the talent living amongst us.

STEP 3: Calling all the rest of you! Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 12th from 6-8 pm. That night, we’re going to take a walk! Flip on our own holiday lights, bundle up your families, BYO-HotChocolate, or your hot (preferably spiked) drink of choice, wander the gloriously illuminated Ingersoll Park, wave hello to your neighbors you might not have seen in a while, sing along with your neighbor you had no idea could sing Ave Maria in that octave, and get all filled up with the holiday spirit! It’s going to be great! Feel free to leave holiday treats, candy canes, holiday greetings, etc for your neighbors if you want :) The more the merrier!

If your house would like to be a house musician, please be sure to email Jamie Seitz at [email protected] no later than December 1, so we can be sure to let everyone know where they should stop for music.

Happy holidays and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Ingersoll Park neighbors!

This Saturday, the 20th we are looking for volunteers to help clean up the circle garden and get it ready for winter! If you're able to help, please bring a yard bag or two, a set of clippers and gloves! Many hands make the job go so much quicker! We'll plan on meeting in the morning (10am) in hopes it warms up quickly! Post below if you plan to be there and invite your other neighbors to come along!

Hi neighbors!

On Sunday, October 19th thousands of athletes will be running through our neighborhood at Mile 8 at the Harwood/42nd St. island and we want to be there to cheer them on, pump them up with some sweet race tunes, and have plenty of water and Gatorade if they need it.

This is always a fun event to get involved with. It's an exciting morning with all your favorite neighbors and it's a great way for your high school students to earn Silver Cord hours or for you to volunteer as a family. We'll have hot coffee and donuts, plus some good jams, playing at our water station.

To sign up to volunteer, click on the link below. Scroll down halfway and select Water Station E. Please be sure to register all the participants you plan to bring with you so we can be sure to get an accurate number of T-shirts and the correct sizes.

If you have questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected]. We can't wait for you to join us!

Hi neighbors! There is a pile of weeds on the East side of the circle garden. If you're able and available, we'd love it if you could bag the weeds in a yard bag. You can even leave the bag on the East side of the garden and it will get picked up by the city!

Thanks for the help!

Don’t forget! The Ingersoll Block Party is happening today at 4 pm at the Harwood/Bradway island! Bring your own picnic for your family, but there will be grills available for you to use and drinks are provided! Stop down and hang with your neighbors, play some yard games, and enjoy the beautiful weather!

See you there!
