Behind-the-scenes look at some door repairs we’re working on. 🚪🔨

Over time, water getting in around the door jambs caused the sills, thresholds, and some of the subfloor underneath to rot out. We’re opening everything up, removing the damaged material, rebuilding it properly, and getting these 36” entry doors and French doors back in good shape.

It’s a good example of how a small water leak can turn into a much bigger repair when it goes unnoticed.

The finished product starts with getting every stage of the remodel right. 👌🏾

We recently completed the drywall portion of this kitchen renovation, including hanging and finishing a new smooth ceiling, wrapping the newly opened divider wall, and applying orange peel texture to the walls.

Clean lines, smooth finishes, and attention to the details that will eventually disappear behind cabinets, paint, trim and finishes—that’s what makes a remodel come together.

At Oro Construction, we bring that same attention to detail to kitchens, bathrooms, basements and interior remodeling projects throughout the Des Moines area.

Our toughest inspector yet. 🐈🔨

He checked the ladders, watched us hang drywall, and followed us around the kitchen all day.

No complaints so far… but the final approval may require treats. 😂

Today wasn’t about business—it was about giving back.

We had the opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, helping install siding on a home that will soon belong to a deserving family. It’s a reminder that the skills we’ve been blessed with can make a real difference in someone’s life.

At Oro Construction, we believe building goes beyond the job site. It’s about strengthening our community, serving others, and using our craftsmanship to make a positive impact.

Turning an eyesore into something functional. 👌
This radon pipe was wasting valuable space, so we framed it into custom built-in shelves while keeping full access to the radon system.
