🌞 Extreme Heat & Lawn Care Notice 🌞
With temperatures in the 90s and very little rain in the forecast, many lawns have stopped growing and are under severe stress.
Here are a few things homeowners should know:
🌱 If your grass isn't growing, mowing it every week may not be the best choice.
🌱 Raising the mowing height to 4–5 inches can help reduce stress and shade the soil, but during prolonged heat and drought, even repeated mowing can add stress to an already struggling lawn.
🌱 Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade at a time.
🌱 If watering restrictions are in place, your lawn has even fewer ways to recover from extreme heat.
