Check out this excellent Installation of a 40 Amp Jetted Spa disconnect, GFCI protected, outside with #6 THWN-2 wire encased in one-inch carflex liquid-tight flexible conduit. The inside is run with 6-3 awg Romex wiring on a 40 amp Siemens breaker. Due to limited space of the existing Leviton breaker panel, a 100 amp Siemens sub-panel needed to be installed with AFCI / GFCI breakers and a fire-rated backboard.
