I was gifted a few old cedar scraps, and I’ve decided to practice my joinery by making a few birdhouses without using any nails or screws. This bluebird house is done with simple butt joints, strengthened using homemade biscuits in grooves, both cut with the table saw. The top is removable, using dowels to hold it in place, so it can be periodically cleaned out. I did not square the cedar first, because it’s a birdhouse after all - so it isn’t perfect, and therefore not for sale.

Benno’s Board Butter!
This board conditioner keeps new boards vibrant and water repellant, and seals and conditions old boards, giving them longer life. Wipe on, let it sit, and wipe off the excess. This is the equivalent of waxing your car, if you have nice wood products, you need this butter. Handmade right here in Eaton Rapids, Michigan out of pure food grade yellow beeswax and pure food grade mineral oil. This is the product you need to keep those wood products looking good, and it smells just like honey. 3 oz tins, $12 each. No shipping.
