Well it took a long time, but the kitchen renovation is finally complete. The homeowners who will be adding the final touches of paint on the walls and the living room ceiling. I would like to thank the homeowners for their patients. We found many surprises inside the walls of an 1800s blacksmith shop that had been added to over the years. A few surprises but a fun time overall. I have included a picture of our favorite helper I always made sure of experience were high.

The things we find in walls. The project is moving along, we reinforced the ceiling joists added bracing, then installed drywall. We discovered the house only had very old insulation that was only one inch thick in the ceilings. We suggested to the homeowner to allow us to blow in fiberglass insulation while we were already there and I agreed it would be a good time to do it. We're also going to enlarge the gable vents to allow the attic to vent better through the ridge vents.

We started a new project last week. Yes that is pieces of cork being used as insulation and timber frame construction hidden in the framed wall.
