EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - Dooley’s Pub was roaring with fan fervor Friday night as the United States faced off against Paraguay in their first match of 2026’s World Cup.
Organized by the American Outlaws, a group that comes out to support the U.S.’s national soccer teams, this watch party packed both floors of the bar with fans.
Michael Risen, a local soccer fan, went out to Dooley’s with his family to watch the U.S.’s opening match. He and his family had high hopes that Team U.S.A.’s would shut out Paraguay on Friday night.
“We got to support the team, got to show our pride,” Risen said. “It only comes once every four years. This is a big game.”
