When you see someone asking for recommendations here or on FB (especially your community group pages), tag a local business. Better yet, include a phone numbers or website.

When I started my first business, social media wasn't a thing. We grew through word of mouth, referrals and people willing to make an introduction.

Funny enough, even with all the technology we have today, that's still one of the most powerful forms of marketing.

So, the next time someone asks for a plummer, carpet cleaner, roofer, restaurant, contractor...take 30 seconds and make a recommendation.

You never know how much that simple gesture might help a small business.

Projects rarely get delayed because people don't care.

Crew absolutely stole the show last night!

I showed up to the Barbecue Bash hosted by Rainbow International of Northeastern Maryland, but somehow he became the main attraction. Everyone wanted to meet him, talk to him, and give him some love. Pretty sure he made more connections than I did!

At this rate, I'm putting him on commission. ❤️🐶

Yesterday I was reviewing a report and noticed something next to the front door...a simple peace sign.

Nothing fancy. Just a small reminder that someone wants their home to feel peaceful.

And it got me thinking...

Most of the calls we get at SMS Environmental start when that peace has already been disrupted.

A pipe bursts. Mold is discovered. An asbestos concern pops up. A strange odor shows up out of nowhere.

People don't call us because they want environmental testing.
