Sometimes you just know when you find the right one!!❤️💙

One thing I’ve learned as a small business owner is this:

Don’t let other people determine the value of what you do.

Too many people will try to tell you what your services should cost based on their budget, their opinion, or their limited understanding of what it takes to run a legitimate business. They see the finished product, but they don’t see the insurance, licensing, training, tools, vehicles, taxes, payroll, continuing education, certifications, sleepless nights, and responsibility that come with doing things the right way.

In my industry, I compete against people working without licenses, without insurance, and without the same responsibilities. If I based my prices on what they charge, I wouldn’t be in business very long.

The same applies to any entrepreneur.

Know your numbers. Know your worth. Charge what you need to charge to provide quality service, take care of your customers, and keep your business healthy. The people who value what you bring to the table will understand.

Stay focused. Stay professional. Keep building.

Don’t let anyone else put a price tag on your value.

Today is National HVAC Technician Day, and I want to give a shout out to all the men and women who keep America comfortable year round.

Most people don’t think about their air conditioner, heater, or indoor air quality until something stops working. Behind every comfortable home, business, school, church, and hospital is a skilled HVAC technician who has spent years learning their craft.

We work in attics that feel like ovens, crawl spaces barely big enough to fit in, rooftops in the Texas heat, and sometimes in the middle of the night when families have no air conditioning. We troubleshoot electrical systems, refrigeration circuits, airflow problems, gas heating systems, and everything in between.

HVAC isn’t just about fixing equipment it’s about keeping families safe, protecting the elderly from extreme temperatures, helping businesses stay open, and making sure people can sleep comfortably at night.

To every HVAC technician out there: thank you for your hard work, sacrifice, knowledge, and dedication to the trade. Your work often goes unnoticed, but it makes a difference every single day.

Happy National HVAC Technician Day from all of us at Hills & Valleys Heating & Air Conditioning!

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Hills & Valleys Heating & Air Conditioning!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who lead by example, work tirelessly, and make sacrifices every day for the people they love.

Being a father isn’t always easy. It often means long days, sleepless nights, carrying burdens nobody else sees, and putting your family’s needs before your own. But it’s also one of life’s greatest blessings and responsibilities.

To all the dads out there thank you for your hard work, your guidance, your strength, and your love. The impact you make reaches far beyond today and helps shape future generations.

As we spend time with our families this Father’s Day, we’re reminded that success isn’t measured only by what we accomplish, but by the people we love and the legacy we leave behind.

May God bless every father today and always. We hope your day is filled with laughter, appreciation, and quality time with those who matter most.

Happy Father’s Day!

Some friendships are forged in childhood and last a lifetime. Moises and I grew up together more like brothers than friends. We grew up in the same places where making the wrong choices was often the norm, not the exception.

Life took us down different paths for a while, and Moses ended up paying a heavier price for some of those choices. But through it all, we remained close.

About five years ago, by the grace of God, he decided enough was enough. He made the decision to change his life, set a goal for himself, and committed to seeing it through. He entered an electrical apprenticeship program, put in the work day after day, and today he graduated as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.

I can honestly say that going from dropping my brother off at a federal institution to serve his time, to sitting in the audience watching him walk across a stage and receive his diploma, is something I can’t fully put into words. What an honor. What a blessing.

Thank You, God, for never giving up on him.

Moises, congratulations on breaking the cycle, beating the odds, and proving that your past does not define your future. I am proud of the man you’ve become. I love you, brother.

This isn’t the end of the journey it’s only the beginning. 👏💙❤️

Nothing gets an HVAC owner a little excited like seeing the plans roll out of the printer. 📐🔥

For the everyday service calls, all we need is a truck full of tools and a game plan. But when it’s time to print plans, you know we’re talking about something a little bigger. New installs, commercial projects, engineered systems, and opportunities that challenge us to grow.

Every set of plans represents trust from a customer, another chance to prove ourselves, and another reminder of how far God has brought Hills & Valleys. From hoping the phone would ring to reviewing blueprints for larger projects, we’re grateful for every opportunity.

Now it’s time to get to work. 💪

You know what? God is good!

It’s Friday, Im Blessed and I want to keep the good vibes going by giving a shoutout to another friend in the HVAC industry.

My friend Carl with Jurnee Mechanical is one of the people I know I can pick up the phone and call when I need a hand, a second opinion, or help on a job. He’s always willing to help, brings a lot of experience to the table, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

In an industry where some people see each other as competition, it’s refreshing to know there are still good folks out there who believe in helping one another. Carl is definitely one of those people.

So if you ever can’t get ahold of me, don’t hesitate to reach out to Journey Mechanical. I trust he’ll take great care of you.

Happy Friday, everyone. Stay safe, stay cool, and remember to support local businesses. 🙏

Ran into a fellow HVAC guy out in the wild today Ivan with CAIR Heating and Air Conditioning. We stopped for a few minutes and did what tradesmen do talked shop.

The HVAC industry can be pretty competitive behind closed doors. Sometimes there’s a mindset that helping another company somehow hurts your own. But not everyone sees it that way.

Ivan has always been one of those guys who’s willing to answer a question, lend a hand, or share knowledge when needed. He’s humble, hardworking, and genuinely cares about helping people. Those are qualities I respect.

At the end of the day, there’s plenty of work out there, and I believe there’s room for good people to support each other. That’s what community is all about.

So if for some reason you can’t get ahold of us, don’t hesitate to give Ivan and the team at Cair Heating & Air Conditioning a call. I have a lot of respect for what they’re doing and the way they do business.

Support local. Support good people. And remember, we’re all out here trying to keep Texas comfortable one system at a time.

After the customer leaves and approves your estimate… 👀💃🕺

There was a time when I was just starting out in business, hoping the phone would ring. Hoping I could make enough that week to pay the bills, keep the lights on, and make it to the next week.

Looking back now, God has been incredibly gracious. Through the highs and the lows, He has continued to provide work, opportunities, great customers, and at times more work than I can handle by myself.

So yes… sometimes when an estimate gets approved, there might be a little happy dance involved. 😆

On this Friday, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has trusted Hills & Valleys Heating & Air Conditioning with your home and business. Your support means more than you know.

No matter where you’re at in life, I hope you can find something today to be thankful for… and maybe even something worth dancing about.

Have a blessed Friday, everyone! 🙏

Just a small glimpse into what a typical day looks like at Hills & Valleys Heating & Air Conditioning.

Pulled up to a service call, met with the customer, listened to the concerns, and started working through multiple issues across several systems. The biggest issue? An evaporator coil leak that resulted in the loss of approximately 16 pounds of refrigerant.

Every service call is different. Sometimes it’s a simple fix, and other times it’s detective work to find the root cause and help the customer make an informed decision.

This is what I do every day diagnose problems, educate customers, and help keep homes and businesses comfortable.
