For spraying Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint Exterior Satin on metal windows, proper surface preparation is essential for long-lasting adhesion and corrosion resistance.
Clean the metal thoroughly to remove dirt, grease, oil, and oxidation using an appropriate cleaner, then rinse and dry. Scuff or abrade any glossy or corroded areas with sandpaper or a wire brush. Apply a quality corrosion-resistant primer (such as ProBlock or an all-surface enamel primer for bare steel) and allow it to dry fully.
Use an airless sprayer with appropriate tip size and pressure for even coverage, maintaining a consistent 8-12 inch distance at a 90° angle while keeping material, surface, and air temperatures above 50°F (ideally) for large metal areas. Apply two thin, even coats with adequate dry/recoat time between them for optimal durability, color retention, and a smooth satin finish that resists fading and peeling.
This approach delivers a professional, weather-resistant result suitable for commercial applications. Always consult the latest product data sheet for specific recoat times and conditions.

Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 Zero VOC Interior Latex in eggshell sheen is a popular contractor-grade paint for drywall, offering good durability, easy application, excellent hide, and a subtle low-sheen finish that hides minor imperfections while remaining washable. For best results on new or bare drywall, start by priming the surface with a product like ProMar 200 Zero VOC Interior Latex Primer to seal the porous material and improve adhesion and coverage. Once primed and dry, apply two even coats of ProMar 200 eggshell using a 3/8- to 1/2-inch nap roller for smooth textured walls, or brush for edges; it flows well, dries to the touch in about 1 hour, and recoats in 4 hours under normal conditions. The result is a professional-looking, mildew-resistant finish ideal for residential interiors, though full touch-ups may require repainting sections for seamless blending.

Applying Sherwin-Williams Scuff Tuff Eggshell on drywall is straightforward and yields a durable, scuff-resistant finish ideal for high-traffic areas. Start by cutting in the edges, corners, and around trim with a high-quality nylon-polyester brush for clean, precise lines. Then, use a ¼ to ½ inch nap woven roller cover to apply the paint evenly across the main wall surfaces in smooth, overlapping “W” or “M” patterns to avoid streaks. Work in manageable sections, maintaining a wet edge for seamless blending, and apply two coats for optimal coverage and toughness. The paint rolls out nicely with minimal splatter and provides excellent flow and leveling.

Spraying Sherwin-Williams oil-based dryfall (such as their Pro Industrial Alkyd Dryfall) on a corrugated metal ceiling is an effective way to hide imperfections, reduce glare, and provide a flat, uniform finish in industrial or commercial spaces. First, ensure the metal surface is clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, rust, or loose debris—use solvent cleaning if needed and consider a bonding primer like an oil-based metal primer (e.g., KEMBOND or similar) for better adhesion on galvanized or bare metal to prevent peeling. Apply the paint via airless spray with a suitable tip (typically in the 411–517 range, depending on equipment and viscosity), maintaining a 50% overlap on each pass for even coverage while working at the recommended distance and height to allow overspray to dry into a removable dust before settling. Work in well-ventilated areas with proper PPE due to the solvent base, and apply 1–2 coats as needed for full opacity, allowing adequate dry time between applications. This method minimizes messy drips on corrugated surfaces and floors below.

Painting your warehouse white offers several practical advantages. White exteriors reflect sunlight and heat far more effectively than darker colors, helping to keep internal temperatures lower during hot weather and reducing air conditioning costs. Inside, white walls and ceilings bounce light around more efficiently, improving visibility, enhancing safety, and potentially cutting down on artificial lighting expenses. Additionally, a white warehouse projects a clean, professional image and makes dirt or damage more visible so maintenance issues can be addressed quickly. Overall, it’s a simple, cost-effective way to improve energy efficiency, working conditions, and the building’s longevity.

Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 Eggshell is a workhorse interior paint that delivers a beautiful low-sheen finish with excellent hide and durability. When brushing and rolling, start with a high-quality nylon/polyester brush for cutting in edges and corners, then use a 3/8” or 1/2” nap microfiber or woven roller cover for fast, streak-free coverage. Keep a wet edge at all times, work in 3x3 ft sections, and roll in an “M” or “W” pattern to avoid lap marks. Two thin coats are better than one heavy coat—ProMar 200 levels beautifully and touches up like a dream. Perfect for walls, trim, and high-traffic areas!

When priming wood with Sherwin-Williams ProBlock using a sprayer, proper preparation and technique are key for best results.
Start by sanding any exposed or weathered wood to a fresh surface, patching holes or imperfections with wood filler, and sanding smooth. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or debris. For airless spraying (the most common method for ProBlock), use 2000 p.s.i. pressure with a .015–.017 inch tip (or up to .021 inch depending on the specific ProBlock formula). Apply at temperatures above 50°F (10°C), holding the gun perpendicular to the surface with steady, overlapping passes for even coverage. One or two thin coats are typically sufficient for stain blocking and adhesion. Allow proper dry time (often 1–2 hours to recoat for many formulas) before topcoating. Always check the specific product data sheet for your ProBlock variant (oil-based or latex).
This method provides fast, smooth coverage with minimal brush/roller marks on trim, cabinets, or larger wood surfaces.

Sherwin-Williams Latitude Exterior Acrylic Latex is a high-performance paint designed for reliable exterior use in challenging weather conditions.
Formulated with ClimateFlex Technology, it applies smoothly across a wide temperature range (as low as 35°F and up to 120°F), develops early moisture resistance in as little as 30 minutes, and resists dirt pickup, peeling, cracking, and blistering.
This makes it ideal for extending the painting season and delivering a durable, long-lasting finish on surfaces like siding, wood, vinyl, masonry, and metal. Painters and homeowners appreciate its smooth flow, good coverage, and ability to keep projects on schedule regardless of the forecast.
It’s available in various sheens and the Designer Color Collection for versatile exterior projects.

Sherwin-Williams Loxon XP is an excellent high-build, waterproofing masonry coating for painting exterior CMU (concrete masonry units). It’s a direct-to-masonry product that requires no primer on most bare surfaces (pH 6–13) and delivers strong protection against wind-driven rain, alkali, efflorescence, and mildew in just two coats.
For best results, thoroughly clean the CMU to remove dirt, dust, efflorescence, and loose material, then patch cracks or voids with an elastomeric sealant. Very porous blocks may benefit from a first coat of Loxon Block Surfacer. Apply two coats of Loxon XP by roller (½–1½” nap), brush, or airless spray with back-rolling to achieve the recommended wet film thickness (roughly 14.5–18.5 mils per coat). It can be applied down to 35°F (surface above dew point) and typically covers 85–110 sq. ft. per gallon per coat depending on texture. Always consult the latest product data sheet for your specific conditions.
This approach provides durable, flexible, long-lasting protection for exterior CMU walls.
