Customer was interested in a modern look for his see-thru fireplace. We decided the RealFyre G21 glass burner would look nice. The choosen color for the burner glass was reflective copper with black pearl gems on the fireplace floor.

The ole electric tank water heater was not doing its duties by not suppling enough hot water for our customer that has multiple people living in the home. Easy fix. Install a Rinnai. Problem solved. Thanks to Bear Rock Electric, Inc. & GEMS Plumbing for helping with the electrical and water supply. The customer also switched from electric cookstove and had us install a propane gas stove.

Sitting here and realizing i'm getting old when I notice the water heater that our team replaced yesterday was one I installed almost twenty years ago. 😔

Unfortunately most tankless water heaters are never serviced causing life expectancy of the unit to decline. Most common reason that its never done is that the homeowner simply had no idea it needed to be done.
These units on average should be serviced annually. Sometimes every six months if the water is hard but that is a rare occasion. Sometimes every two years if there is a water softener in the water system.
A few weeks ago, I was called to a Rinnai tankless water heater that was not working. The unit was only 15 years old and was leaking water which shorted out electronics inside. First thing I go to look is evidence of prior maintenance and notice that there was no flush kit installed so I knew it time for a new water heater as the internals of were damaged and changing parts would be risky in a 15 year old unit. By all means this unit should have worked for 10 more years.
Anyway, after four days of no hot water the customer was very happy we were able to replace it two days after the troubleshoot call.

As spring peeks around the corner, we will start transitioning from our gas log season to new construction, tankless water heater service and install, and gas line installation to other gas appliances season.
Rinnai tankless water heaters are what we service and install. On average, in the past, we install one a month. That number will grow as we have installed at least five in the past 30 days. Installing a tankless water heater requires two or three trades ( gas, electric, and plumbing) to complete, there fore, we at ProTek have teamed up with trade allies to speed up the process.
Today, we had to install a tankless water heater at a local small business that was not able to operate due to no hot water costing the small business to reschedule clients. We were able to pull the permit on Friday and emergency install on Sunday to have this small business back up and ready for Mondays work load.
