This is a very exciting initiative to document and celebrate Pennsylvania's historical barns.
It was an honor for VA&P to contribute to the Park Open Space and Barn Preservation Master Plan. Thanks to the for bringing attention to these important features of Pennsylvania history.

Called “PABarn250,” the documentary features the history, the architectural character and the direct role some of the barns played in supporting the Revolutionary War.

🎓Time for School!🎓

Today, children head back off to school for the first day of school in the 2026-2027 school year. For the Potts family, education looked just a bit different. During the early years for the children, they were tutored in the home by a private tutor.

Once they were old enough, they were sent off to boarding schools in Philadelphia! Two of the Potts children would go off to college, with Jonathan briefly studying medicine in Edinburgh, and John Jr. studying law in London.
