Some beautiful views from the rooftop terrace at the St. James Hotel in the Gaslamp quarter of San Diego.

The hotel was built in 1913 and it was the first high-rise luxury hotel in San Diego. It also features twin elevators that at the time they were the fastest in the world. They are a bit rickety now, but it was cool to experience a piece of San Diego's history.

My husband and I enjoyed a mini vacation in San Diego. We spent the night in the Gaslamp quarter and loved the views from the rooftop terrace. The city skyline was lit up so beautifully.
