Seriously, every designer I know freaks out about this, but giving away my best ideas upfront during a discovery call is my secret weapon.

Watch me makeover this seriously sad master bath and bedroom right on the spot. See the difference? 👇

🥢UMAI started as a dark kitchen during the pandemic, and by 2024, it was ready for its first dine-in space.

As architects, remodels like this excite us—where limited space pushes intentional design.👨🏻‍💻

We collaborated closely with the chef to understand the flow of daily operations, creating a layout that feels open, even in a compact footprint.

💥The result is a warm, urban-modern restaurant with Japanese influences and three distinct dining experiences: a private backroom, a cozy booth corridor, and a lively sushi bar—all designed to elevate the guest experience without sacrificing function.

Have a space that needs a fresh start? Let’s reimagine it together.

We designed this unique project for three sisters in Washington, DC—each with their own space but connected in all the right ways.

Accessibility and privacy were top priorities since one sister lives with a disability. That’s why each unit has bedrooms facing the backyard pool and is linked by breezeways—giving them independence while staying close and safe.

With 6 bedrooms, an indoor pool, vaulted ceilings, and a modern design filled with natural light, this home balances comfort, style, and function perfectly.

Swipe through to see how thoughtful design turns a shared vision into a beautiful reality.

From a double-height living room filled with natural light to a tucked-away guest loft with pool access—this Scandinavian-Spanish retreat in North Carolina has it all.

Open spaces, tall windows, and views to the courtyard create a peaceful connection between every room.
