And just like that, the Coster Residence is home.

There’s always a point near the end of a build when it stops feeling like a construction project and starts feeling like someone’s home.

This one feels unmistakably Barry.
A little Western. A little unconventional. Simple where he wanted simple, custom where it mattered, and built around 17 acres and the life he enjoys living on them.

Congratulations, Barry. We hope this place serves you, your kids, and your grandkids well for a lot of years.

And knowing Barry, we’re pretty sure he’s already got a list of projects he’s planning to add himself.

There’s something really special about watching a project go from a snow covered foundation to a home someone’s about to move into.

This one started last spring. Barry, a longtime Evanston local who spent years as a realtor in the area, had already lived the big house chapter of his life. After his wife passed and his kids grew up and started families of their own, a big house didn’t make sense anymore.

What he needed wasn’t more space. It was the right space, built for how he actually wants to spend this next chapter.

He’s got 17 acres, horses, cattle, and a greenhouse he’s still adding to. So we built him a home around all of it.

Stained concrete floors with in floor heating for Wyoming winters.

Vaulted ceilings and an open living area.

An 18 foot garage door sized for his lifestyle and equipment.

A guest room for when the kids and grandkids come stay.

Even a wall built specifically to display his elk and deer mounts, our crew’s way of thanking him for trusting us with something this personal.

Every decision was made around Barry, not a trend.

Less than 6 months later, our work here is done, and it’s been one of our favorite builds to watch come together.

We will be posting more updates about this custom build and sharing how we worked together with Barry to ensure this home was unique to his needs and desire. Be sure to follow along for updates!

I’ve been in construction long enough that this doesn’t even sound weird anymore. 😂

One of my favorite conversations with homeowners usually starts the same way...

“We’ve been talking about this for years.”

Not just building a house.

Building the place where birthdays get celebrated. Christmas morning happens. Kids grow up. Grandkids eventually come back to visit.

That’s what makes custom homes so rewarding.

You’re not just pouring concrete and framing walls.

You’re helping build the backdrop for someone’s life.

We’ve been lucky enough to help families throughout the Huntsville, Eden and Ogden Valley areas all the way up to Park City, Heber and Evanston turn those conversations into reality, and it never gets old.

If your “someday” has been on your mind for a while... maybe it’s time to start the conversation.

What’s one thing your forever home absolutely has to have?

One thing I’ve learned after building custom homes is that the features people end up loving most usually aren’t the ones they planned on from day one.

Sometimes it’s the hidden door that makes everyone smile.

Sometimes it’s the spa-style bathroom that becomes your favorite room in the house.

Sometimes it’s an elevator you never thought you’d want until you start living with it.

The best custom homes aren’t built around trends.

They’re built around the people who are going to live there every day.

That’s what made this Park City project so much fun. Every feature has a purpose because every decision was made around the homeowner’s lifestyle—not a showroom.

Which one would make it into your dream home?

👉 Hidden door
👉 Spa bathroom
👉 Elevator
👉 Waterfall feature

I think a lot of people are starting to realize that “dream home” doesn’t have to mean “dream location.”

Sometimes it means more land.

More quiet.

A better view.

A garage that actually fits your toys.

A home that’s built around the life you want to live instead of the one you settled for.

That’s exactly what we love about building in places like Wyoming.

There’s still room to create something that’s truly yours.

Could you see yourself living somewhere like this?

I’ve always believed there’s a difference between building something... and caring about what you’re building.

Anyone can follow a set of plans.

The best tradesmen think ahead.

They sweat the details.

They take pride in the work nobody else will ever notice because they know that’s what the rest of the home depends on.

That’s the standard we’ve always tried to hold ourselves to.

Not because anyone’s watching…

Because that’s what we’d want if it were our own home.

I’ll admit it... the first time someone asked us to build an elevator into their home, I thought it was more of a luxury than a necessity.

Then you start seeing what people are considering when designing THEIR custom homes.

Maybe it’s a forever home. Maybe they want to age in place. Maybe they’re thinking about accessibility years down the road. Or maybe they just want every part of their home to fit the way they live.

That’s one of the things I enjoy most about custom homes—there’s no “right” way to build one. It’s about creating a home that’s built around the people living in it.

And yes... the stairs are still there if you’re feeling ambitious. 😄

What’s one feature you’d add to your dream home if budget wasn’t the deciding factor?

08/11/2026

It’s still kind of surreal when you stop and think about it.

One person scrolling social media from across the country somehow found our page, reached out, and today we’re standing in Park City pouring the foundation for their custom home.

It’s a good reminder that you never really know who’s watching.

And more importantly... you never know what one conversation might turn into.

We’re excited to keep sharing this project as it comes to life over the next several months.

Have you ever found a business on social media that completely changed your plans?

Construction isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.

But handing someone the keys to the home they’ve spent years dreaming about?

That part NEVER gets old.

This one’s getting close. And we can’t wait to show you the finished result.
