There’s something really special about watching a project go from a snow covered foundation to a home someone’s about to move into.
This one started last spring. Barry, a longtime Evanston local who spent years as a realtor in the area, had already lived the big house chapter of his life. After his wife passed and his kids grew up and started families of their own, a big house didn’t make sense anymore.
What he needed wasn’t more space. It was the right space, built for how he actually wants to spend this next chapter.
He’s got 17 acres, horses, cattle, and a greenhouse he’s still adding to. So we built him a home around all of it.
Stained concrete floors with in floor heating for Wyoming winters.
Vaulted ceilings and an open living area.
An 18 foot garage door sized for his lifestyle and equipment.
A guest room for when the kids and grandkids come stay.
Even a wall built specifically to display his elk and deer mounts, our crew’s way of thanking him for trusting us with something this personal.
Every decision was made around Barry, not a trend.
Less than 6 months later, our work here is done, and it’s been one of our favorite builds to watch come together.
We will be posting more updates about this custom build and sharing how we worked together with Barry to ensure this home was unique to his needs and desire. Be sure to follow along for updates!
