Yates Proper Pruning & Landscaping

Yates Proper Pruning & Landscaping Quality landscaping maintenance. We do pruning, planting, mulching, weeding, consulting, etc. Shearing shrubs is typically the wrong thing to do.

My specialty is pruning, but I also do just about whatever is needed to maintain your garden or landscape area, such as mulching, planting, cleanup, weeding and past control. My son helps with muscle work such as mulching, digging up shrubs, and using power tools - chainsaw, weed eater. With many years of experience and training as a Master Gardener I can evaluate your landscape for any problems o

r landscaping errors. I specialize in selective pruning for the health and natural beauty of your plants. So put away that electric trimmer. Sit back in the shade and sip some icy lemonade. No more boxy bushes. No more dead wood inside. Whether you just need a little seasonal pruning, or you have a huge shrub that hasn't been tamed in years, I can do almost any job.

2 free Pink mandevilla's. I Overwintered from last year but With my tendonitis and surgery I didn't have time to Re pot and trellis them. They had aphids And I wasn't able to keep up with spraying them.

4 problems with this tree planted A week ago. It's actually a shrub since its multi stemmed. First of all, It's in about 4 inches too deep Which is detrimental to a tree's health and can eventually lead to death. While removing mulch and some of the soil I came upon a big rock just under the soil a few inches from the Base of the tree. Crazy. Also there was a hole An inch diameter at the base of the tree. You always need to make sure You backfill the hole completely with no air spaces. Then I saw the wire cage was left on. At least the top half of the wire cage should be removed Because it Can interfere with the roots. If you see a tree without a root flare It's likely a tree in trouble. And upon further investigation you might find other Problems too because if Somebody doesn't Know The proper planting depth maybe there are other things they don't know too. Just because someone is a "Professional landscaper" it doesn't ensure professionalism.

I recently found I had Termites in the wood chips I'm using for mulch In front of My house. A termite inspection of my home shows I do not have any signs of entry into my foundation Or basement but just in the wood chips. I'm taking this advice Of using diatomaceous Earth. You can purchase it at rural king And if you Get the food grade It won't Be any harm to use On or Near your vegetable Plants. I use a lot of wood chips to mulch my garden. I also use it on Plants that are Susceptible to cabbage Moth caterpillars.

Be careful who you hire to paint your fence. My client was not happy. He did not cover any plants or mulch. Foliage covered with paint can harm or possibly kill a plant because healthy leaves are needed for photosynthesis. Inkberry hollies are resilient so I pruned it nearly to the ground. Cut back the spirea and all the hostas and Had to remove And replace painted mulch.
