PM Leach Painting participated in Construction Forum's event, yesterday. We loved meeting all the young people and helping them explore construction trades. Enrollment in construction trades increased by 19% in 2023 and more and more young people and seeing their futures in trade industries. Participation in the painters union apprenticeship program through PM Leach is a solid path to a life-long career that includes a high wage and exceptional benefits.

Check out the incredible work PM Leach Painting's 3rd year apprentice, Kathryn Goltz created while training this year. Katy's creativity and ability to perform detailed work are part of what makes her such a valued asset to our team.

Katy explained that, during her design process, she chose the scarab, an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, to watch over the school's tool shed. She used gold leaf, an early technique of the Egyptians, to create the shine from the sun (representing Ra, the sun god). The Hieroglyphs translate roughly to "The mighty scarab watches over this room. Cherish its treasures and return them washed well".

Beautiful work, Katy! We're all very impressed.
