Hey everyone!
Posting a couple pictures of a job I did on a Mobile Home the other day showing the importance of using the proper materials and making sure that your circuits are sized properly.
This mobile home was built in the 1970's. It also had aluminum branch circuit wiring, which was and is not an ideal wiring system. The owner initially had me come to see about installing some GFCI protection in the bathroom and kitchen locations.
After I had looked at his service panel and seen that there was some serious over heating that had taken place. We decided to move forward with the panel upgrade. Nice smooth job and a really awesome guy to work with!
Electrical systems tend to be out of sight out of mind. Electrical system health is a lot of the time something that is over looked because as long as the lights turn on and the coffee pot is brewing everything is all good. It's the roof leaking or your gutters falling off that we notice. The things we notice are the things we do routine maintenance on. Its a good idea to maintain not only the things we see but the ones we don't. Electrical systems should be checked out every once in a while as well. This can prevent costly fixes in the future or poorly timed surprise costs.
Have an amazing day!
