The purples of 2026 💜 🫛

Our Harry - long, strong stems with multiple bluish, purple blooms. Added to the Farm in 2022 for the Harry Styles fans in our lives 💟

Blue Pearl - early blooming soft purple

Dragonfly - creamy blooms brushed with lavender blue

High Scent - Purple edging on creamy white blooms

Enchante - a lovely tri-color with multiple shades of purple

Why a Sweet Pea seed sale in October?

Because Spring starts long before it arrives!

The Fall Planters, depending on where you garden, Fall is the time to sow Sweet Peas and give them a head start for next Spring.

The Flower Farmers are already planning for the 2027 growing season, purchasing seeds and bulbs for those early-season blooms.

The gift-givers (to themselves!) are thinking of their future selves, buying seeds to start after the New Year. A little gift to look forward to during the dark, wet, cold days of winter.

I’m a mix of a planner and a gift-giver to my future self.

There are 4 mixes to choose from in the upcoming Sweet Pea Seed sale

Half Moon’s Farm Mix-is a blend of 2026 mishaps. There were few times that handfuls were dropped into the wrong bags, pocket fulls that I thought I’d remember what they were and the seeds that go flying when popping pods open. This mix is heavy on the purples, creams and blush. It’s highly likely there will be Castle of Mey, Rosay, Monarch’s Diamond, Kingfisher, Jilly, Karen Louise, Bix or anything else grown on the farm in 2026 in these packets.

Half Moon’s Magic-is a blend of early blooming, most requested colors for design work. Cream, blush, pale pinks and pure white.

Bell’s Mix-is a blend of early blooming popular colors for design work. Pure white, light pink and pale purple.

Practically Magic Mix- I like to choose varieties based on their names and since Jilly has been on the farm as a nod to Gilly Owens, it was only fitting that Sally Maitland be added and this mix be created. Creamy white and Magenta Pink.

Next round of Sweet Pea Seeds are packed up and waiting for you ( and me because I haven’t chosen a sale date yet)

I am starting to count in my sleep, I find myself counting when it’s not necessary. Like when I’m putting on the stickers, walking up the stairs or loading the dishwasher. I will be happy to have the counting as I put the seeds in their packets done to give my brain a rest.

Reminder that when you look at the seed shop the varieties are listed as SOLD OUT. They will continue to show this until I update the inventory and open the seed shop for sales.

Im finding my way back after taking the month of August off. Yes, that is prime flower and wedding season and I needed this. No regrets!
I knew this was the month for big shifts in my life and I wanted to be present for them.

-Salt Lake City for NAI7’s rugby tournament
-Celebrated our 15 year old’s birthday
-Read 2 books in print and now back to audiobooks for a few months.
-Roadtrip to move our girl to Bozeman. Go Cats!
-Montana did not disappoint and I can’t wait to go back and explore.
-The business card at our Airbnb took my breath away.
-The first hosted event in her dorm is to make flower bouquets for their rooms.
-Came home to loads of Sweet Pea seeds to harvest

I’m ready for the shift to September
Where there will be foggy mornings, high school football games, harvesting late summer flowers, grandbaby snuggles and evenings spent popping open Sweet Pea seed pods.

Rain is on the way but there are bunches of sunshine at the stand. Now that the forecast is calling for cooler temps the stand will have fresh flowers starting today thru the weekend.
