Some of you may have wondered what happened to us, some probably didn't even notice we stopped posting and selling. 🤔

After having multiple thefts by people who were suffering from addiction, I took it as a sign that I needed to use the gift of my suffering to help other people like me. ❤️

What people don't know is that I myself am an addict. I didn't start out like that, I was 23 before I ever even tried anything harder than w**d or alcohol. My life path has been full of obstacles and trauma and my addiction evolved over time. ❤️

I lost everything. 😭

It took me years of pain and heartbreak and a lot of hard work to fix my life and get all of the things that mattered back. ❤️

I had only been sober from hard substances for 3 years when the pandemic hit and everything was canceled. The grocery store shelves were empty and there were no flowers to be had anywhere. 🥕🌿

The normal expectations of the rat race we call life were gone. Everything was slower and I was able to spend as much time as I wanted in my dad's 2 acre field that became our garden.❤️

I didn't expect anything that first year when we decided to open a stand. I just wanted to share healthy, organically grown veggies and flowers with the world. 🍅

Then I got caught up in what everyone else was doing and started comparing what we were doing to what everyone else was doing on Facebook and Instagram. 😎

I sucked all the fun out of it. 🤦‍♀️

Then came the thefts and my focus changed. I had already taken the Certified Recovery Peer Advocate course in 2018, I just never did anything with it. 🌟

I decided the universe must have sent those people to steal from me to push me to where I really needed to be, so I applied for a job at a local halfway house. I ended up being the Senior Residence Counselor on the day shift eventually, and then after almost 2 years, I left to go be a peer at Nick's Ride 4 Friends. ❤️

I love my job, but I definitely miss the freedom of being in a garden all day long every day. You can take the girl out of the garden, but you can never take the garden out of the girl. 👩‍🌾

This year I realized I need to go back to growing things. We moved and eventually will have our own garden right at our house, but for now, I will settle for being in charge of the community garden at Nick's Ride. May our garden be blessed and filled with abundance!❤️👩‍🌾🌿🍅🥕🥒

I am grateful for the chance to get this beautiful garden going for our community!❤️❤️❤️

This led me to thinking that I should offer garden help/consultations on a part-time limited basis. If you made it this far and you have a garden you need help getting started, maintained, or revamped, send us a message.❤️

🌞🌞🌞Good morning friends!!🌞🌞🌞

⭐It's been quiet here for a while but with spring rapidly approaching it's time to start planning for our 2022 season. 💃💐🌻🌹🍅🥒🌶

⭐This venture was started in 2020 in the beginning of the pandemic while everything was shut down. The grocery shelves were empty and you couldn't find flowers at all. I needed something to do and the community needed more options for affordable fresh produce and flowers.

⭐2021 proved to be a crazy year with some of the wildest weather patterns I can remember. 2020 was a drought but the rain during the 2021 season more than made up for it.

🌞2022 is the year we simplify our operations.🌞

⭐Since the end of our 2021 season I have started working full time at a halfway house chasing my passion of helping people like myself. I am happy to report that I absolutely love my job and plan to keep going in this line of work.

⭐What does that mean for Hope Spring Farm?⭐

⭐That means we need to simplify our operations and what we grow in order to still succeed while myself and my husband work full time jobs.

⭐We need to choose what we will continue to grow and what we can do without and we need your help!!

⭐⭐⭐Glads, sunflowers, zinnias, watermelon, peppers, and tomatoes are definitely in the plans but what else would you like to see on the stand this year??⭐⭐⭐

Update on the rose 🌹 and sunflower 🌻 bouquets......

The roses arrived this morning around 11am. After hydrating them for 4 hours they are not ready to be worked with. I honestly don't know if they are usable even after I give them more time to hydrate to perk up.

I have a scheduled trip with my daughter for girl scouts I was already supposed to have already left for and will be gone for the night. I will check them again tomorrow when I get home to see what the final verdict is.

As you can see the sunflowers 🌻 are super gorgeous and I am hoping the roses 🌹 will turn out to be of the same quality. If they perk up I will put them together tomorrow afternoon and post when they are available.

I will offer free local delivery to anyone still interested in purchasing. The rest will go on the stand for sale. Please check the page for updates before heading to the stand.

It is with huge regret that I have to postpone our rose 🌹 and sunflower 🌻 bouquets that we were scheduled to have at Serenity Wellness tomorrow.

Unfortunately FedEx made a huge mistake and only delivered one box of flowers today despite the boxes being shipped together. At this moment the rest of my flowers are in Memphis, TN. The earliest I will receive them tomorrow by noon.

I want to apologize to our customers for this debacle. There is nothing I can do or say to make them get here, trust me I tried 🤣

If they show up tomorrow morning I will put them together and they will be for sale at our stand tomorrow afternoon. Unfortunately FedEx doesn't show up before 11:30 in my area and that doesn't leave enough time for me to get them to the event at Serenity.

I need a hail mary at this point. I am just sick over this. The money spent on these flowers was not a small amount and I am praying that they arrive tomorrow in good shape. I am praying that there will still be people interested in purchasing them at our stand.

Serenity Wellness is having their 3rd year anniversary event this Saturday, September 25th. If there is enough interest I will be ordering flowers to be there with bouquets for sale!

I may be able to find some of our own flowers to sell also.

Mega cherry tomato🍅 sale today!!

I picked a decent amount before my appointments today and decided to put them on the stand as $1 pints for you all.

Normally we put them in quarts and they are $3, so this is a big savings!

There are so many left to pick and I'd like to share the abundance with my awesome customers ❤❤❤
