The Coblentz Brothers' earliest memories of woodworking come from their Amish Grandfather’s shop in northern Indiana. Nestled outside a little town, the workshop was perfect for clients to stop by and see the quality work as he and his team assembled and crafted the most amazing wood products. His white hair and long beard gave him an aura of wisdom and experience second to none. The brothers were
fascinated by all the different shapes, sizes and and the smells of sawn lumber, toughing the wood and marveling at the smoothness of the finely sanded surfaces. Grandpa taught their Dad the skill and they watched and helped him as he crafted furniture, built additions, remodeled homes and trimmed out entire rooms with amazing attention to detail that can only be expected from well-trained hands. That fascination never left, and when Luke and Jeremy had the opportunity to team up and to design and craft their own unique products, they just couldn’t think of a better way to pass on their wisdom to future generations. They learned firsthand how to work hard on the farm...driving horses, milking cows and playing softball with neighbor kids. It was the the family traditions and values, (and let’s not forget the AMAZING food) that made them who they are today. Woodworking seems to be becoming more and more a lost art these days . Our goal at JH Woodworks is to take what we have learned and apply it to every project we take on. To work with excellence and craft something that our clients will value and use for many years to come…and to pass down to our children what was passed down to us…
Quality, value, integrity and to go the extra mile to bring a smile to someone’s face.
