We’re thankful for opportunities like this to step outside of the day-to-day, build stronger connections, and fellowship with the contractors and partners we have the privilege of working alongside.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Intersection Closure & Construction This Week

Drivers, plan ahead! Work crews will be active in two key locations starting this week:

Sharp Street: Closed periodically throughout the week at the Hwy 42 end. No access onto or off Highway 42 via Sharp St during certain times throughout the week.

Hwy 42 (Near the Roundabout): Watermain construction running from the roundabout out toward the Water Treatment Plant near Freeman Avenue.
What to expect:

-No through-access at the Sharp St / Hwy 42 junction
-Reduced lanes & active flaggers near the roundabout on Hwy 42
-Moderate delays during peak commute times
- School traffic times will be taken into heavy consideration to minimize delays for students
- Multiple Crews working along side Hwy 42 from the roundabout to the water plant near Freeman Avenue

Tip: Give yourself an extra 10–15 minutes if traveling through this corridor, or use alternate routes to avoid the roundabout area.

Proud of this team!

Our service divisions spent the week in Pittsburgh PA investing in something that matters deeply to DPC - how we serve our customers and our community.

This week gave our team the opportunity to sharpen our communication, strengthen how we listen and understand our customers’ needs, and continue building a service experience based on trust, professionalism, and genuine care.

Training like this is an investment in our people, but ultimately, it’s an investment in the people we serve every day.

We’re excited to bring what we learned back home and put it into practice! 💪

"Flushable" wipes might clear your toilet bowl, but they are a nightmare for your septic system.

Here is why: Unlike toilet paper, which dissolves in seconds, wipes are made with synthetic fibers designed to stay strong when wet. Inside your septic tank, they don't break down. Instead, they:

Settle as solid sludge, filling your tank much faster and requiring more frequent pumping.

Clog the baffles or pumps, which can cause sewage to back up directly into your home.

Tangle together, forming severe blockages in the main line.

Bottom line: The only things that should ever go down your toilet are human waste and toilet paper (the 3 Ps: P*e, P**p, and Paper). Throw all wipes even the ones labeled "flushable" straight into the trash can! 🗑️
