House fires can happen to anybody. Something as simple as string lights on a back patio can turn into a major problem.

In this case, the patio cover had been attached to the house for years, but it was installed incorrectly from the start.

The cheapest price can end up costing you MUCH more later.

🚨 RECIPE FOR A LEAK! 🚨

This is a perfect example of a leak waiting to happen. The last contractor actually used CAULK where proper end wall flashing should have been installed.

This is what happens when corners get cut.

A low price may sound good at first, but many contractors find ways to make that money back by skipping important steps or using cheap shortcuts. In the end, the homeowner usually pays the price later with leaks, repairs, and damage.

Cutting corners does NOT save you money. It usually costs you a lot more in the future.

Most homeowners never think about flashing until there’s a leak.

Flashing is one of the most important parts of your roofing system. It helps keep water out around chimneys, walls, valleys, and other problem areas. This is a very frustrating part of my job to see how contractors take advantage of their customers OR how little a contractor actually knows about what they’re doing.

At Vision Exteriors you can rest assure the job will be completed according to the scope of work agreed upon by both parties. Although we won’t agree to the work if it includes these kinds of shortcuts.

I may have said the wrong color but it doesn’t make what I said wrong.

It amazes me that homeowners are ok with this.
It amazes me that a contractor was ok with this.
It amazes me that this passed inspection when the HO purchased the home.
It amazes me what some people want the lowest bid on something that protects a LARGE investment.

This would not fly at Vision Exteriors.

Just because a roofing company has a 479 phone number does NOT mean they’re actually local.

It’s incredibly easy for out-of-town companies to get a local number so they look like they’re from the area. After every major storm, companies from places like Dallas, OKC, and beyond flood into our communities chasing storm work. Many of them disappear just as fast as they showed up.

Before hiring ANY contractor, take 2 minutes and:
✔️ Look them up on Facebook
✔️ Check Google reviews
✔️ Verify their actual business location
✔️ Make sure they’ve truly been serving this area

Because here’s the reality: if problems come up later, many storm chasers won’t be around to answer the phone. Unfortunately, that leaves homeowners stuck paying for repairs out of pocket.

Whether you choose us or not, choose a REAL local company that will still be here long after the storm is gone.
