Well today’s storm was quite powerful. We faired better than some of our neighbors and are thankful nobody at our shop or with our crews were injured.
We did have some window and door damage and some roof issues to be addressed but we are going to choose to be thankful. We are without power and have some cleaning to do but plan to have HVAC and Insulation crews on the road in the morning.

This was a week of extreme temps and tough service calls. Our attic crews worked in extreme temps to air seal and insulate attics and kept at it even with the horrible air quality the last few days.
As you can imagine our hvac crews were kept very busy servicing faulty AC systems and installing replacements.
But today we had the unique honor of replacing a bad central AC unit for an American Hero. David S, is a Vietnam Veteran. In talking with his family we learned that he was also a POW for 6 years!!
A family of patriots who explained what they went through, getting the awful notifications to the challenges through out that time and lasting effects. We are humbled to be in the company of such people and happy to be able to provide some level of service to this aging hero.

Well I guess sometimes you can’t get home.
Today we had a major distraction that took the owner, Diana, and some helpers away from their regularly scheduled duties.

We had a racing pigeon stop by and try to rest up. It apparently is injured so it is now comfortably resting in a cage with food, water, and AC while waiting for the the Great Lakes Pigeon Rescue (yes that’s a real thing) to contact us to rehab and return this fine specimen.

Well the hot weather is here and so are the AC service calls. Today Assured staff installed 4 new AC units that had been scheduled and are out on service calls for new clients now. One call of note, that I want to brag on our lead service tech Chris. He went to a call last week and the family had called another contractor who quoted an outrageous price trying to convince them to buy a new system. Chris went out and quoted them according to our company standard- treat the customer how would you want someone to treat your grandmother. Our quote was SIGNIFICANTLY less.

When we arrived today the family, including twin babies were seeking relief in the car AC as the house was too hot. We got them back in the house with the air conditioning working and for hundreds less than the other guys quoted. They were so thankful, hugs all around and Chris is on other service calls but that is exactly how we roll at Assured. Honest quote, hard work, Grandma’s standard.

Class is currently in session at our Duct and Envelope Tightness (DET) Verifier course in Melrose Park! This hands-on training ensures you master diagnostic testing for new residential construction.

Class Highlights:
Code Update: This will cover the *NEW* 2024 energy code standards that went into effect at the end of 2025.
Hands-On Skills: Learn to safely perform blower door and duct blaster tests using industry-standard equipment.
Certification Prep: Prepares you for the exact testing required to ensure new homes meet air tightness and energy-efficiency standards.

Important Recertification Reminder: Building codes and diagnostic standards evolve, so DET Verifiers are required to recertify yearly.

Utility company rebates we have made a connection with the fine people who run Robbins Illinois. They do a lot with what they have and some of our staff have a lifelong connection to the community.
This year we are once again happy to support their end of summer back to school community efforts.
Dwayne Gosa was able drop off a $5000 donation to their back to school community event. Good people doing good things and we are happy to be part of it!
