Last week, Eric Cain and Mason White represented Job Site Services at BIOGAS AMERICAS 2026 in Detroit, connecting with clients and industry partners across the renewable natural gas and landfill sectors.

One of the biggest conversations at the event centered around media changeout services and how JSS supports complex treatment systems with safe, reliable, and efficient carbon, filtration, and specialty media solutions. From activated carbon supply and vessel changeouts to spent media disposal, confined space entry, and complex maintenance requirements, our team delivers dependable support for systems of any size.

The event also provided a great opportunity to discuss how JSS supports RNG and landfill infrastructure projects through our Environmental Construction Division, including civil construction, demolition, excavation, site preparation, and ongoing facility support.

Supporting landfill projects takes more than one service line, it takes coordinated expertise across every JSS division: Environmental Construction, Remediation Systems & Services, Drilling, and Industrial Services.

Drilling Along the Rails – Michigan West Line

The Job Site Services Drilling Division recently completed a project along an Amtrak line on the Michigan West Line, supporting geotechnical investigation efforts under strict safety and coordination requirements.

Working in active rail environments requires more than just drilling expertise, it demands planning, training, and precision ex*****on.

Project Scope Highlights:
· 1 day of GPR for all locations to clear borings
· 8 days of onsite drilling
· Track-mounted rig operations (accomplished with CME 1050 drill rig)
· 9 separate tower locations along the rail line

Prior to mobilization, our team completed required Amtrak safety training, ensuring full compliance with railroad safety protocols and site-specific requirements.

From subsurface investigation to working within highly regulated environments, our crews continue to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient drilling solutions, no matter the conditions.

Safety in Action at JSS

We’ve just wrapped up our third week of safety training at Job Site Services, continuing our commitment to keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do.

A big thank you to Marine Pollution Control for providing confined space training at our office, and to Weinstein Consulting for leading manual lifting, backup/spotters, NORM, and scaffolding training for our team.

We also held our Q2 Safety Standdowns at both our Freeland and Allegan offices, bringing our teams together to align on company updates, reinforce best practices, and strengthen our safety culture.
