Paraiso del Nino Orphanage, Paraguay, South America

Paraiso del Nino Orphanage, Paraguay, South America Founded in 2004 by Fresno California native Raymond Perez. Ray was obedient and made over 70 mission trips to Spain, Mexico Central America and South America.

In 1982, God spoke directly to Raymond Perez’s heart and said, “Go ye into all the world and teach my people”. In February 1985 God spoke to him again. He told Ray to return to Chile and cover the whole country, to the North in the winter and the South in the summer. In September of 1988, Raymond Perez Ministries was officially incorporated as a Non-profit corporation. By 1997 Ray had made over 20

trips to Chile. These trips included crossing the Straits of Magellan three times by barge, catamaran, and small plane to get to Tierra del Fuego, the most Southern tip of South America. It all began in 1951 while Raymond was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. While he was in Inchon, Korea, he saw a church which had minor damage from shelling by American ships; there was also an orphanage right next to the church that was still “intact” with no damage. But the city was totally destroyed. It was apparent that God had His hand on this orphanage to protect the children. In 1994, (43 years later) while on a mission in Paraguay, The Lord gave Ray a dream; a layout for a home (a paradise) for children; the instructions for building an orphanage in Paraguay. Raymond had remembered the orphanage and the children God had spared in Korea. Raymond bought the property for the orphanage in Caacupe, Paraguay, and on May 1, 2004, he dedicated the first phase of construction to the Lord. God has guided Raymond in building this orphanage through further dreams and visions. Raymond (with directions from the Lord) named this orphanage, “Paraiso Del Nino” or “Paradise for Children”. Paraiso Del Nino is not only a home for orphans and abandoned children, but also a home for teenage mothers and their babies. Currently there are 20 children living at the home.
