Your fiberglass pool may be showing its age—but that doesn’t mean its best swim days are behind it. 💦

A faded or chalky finish, rough patches, stubborn stains, small blisters, or surface cracks can all be signs that the gelcoat needs professional attention.

When the pool shell is in good condition, fiberglass pool resurfacing can restore a smoother finish, refresh its appearance, and prepare it for many more seasons of swimming and backyard memories.

And yes—PoolBurg offers professional fiberglass pool resurfacing throughout DFW.

That rusty streak in your pool may be telling you exactly where the problem begins. 👀

If you’ve treated an orange or brown stain only to watch it return, the stain remover may not be the problem. The real source could be iron in your fill water, a corroding screw or fitting, forgotten metal debris, low-pH water—or even rebar beneath damaged plaster.

Here’s the clue many homeowners miss: the pattern matters.

💧 Widespread staining after a refill may point to iron in the water.
🔩 A trail beginning at a fitting may indicate corroding hardware.
🧱 A recurring spot near damaged plaster could begin beneath the surface.

Removing the discoloration without correcting its source often means doing the same job again later.

PoolBurg’s newest homeowner guide explains how to recognize the clues, distinguish rust from other pool stains, and determine the right next step.

This pool was not just a little cloudy… it had gone full green.

In this walkthrough, the algae was being treated, the water was starting to turn from green to cloudy white, and the equipment was being brought back into action so the filtration system could start doing its job.

A lot of people think shocking a pool means the water clears instantly, but that is not always how it works. First, the algae had to be killed. Then the filter had to remove what was left behind.

If your pool in Frisco or anywhere around North Texas is starting to turn green, don’t wait until it gets worse. PoolBurg can help bring it back.

Winterizing a pool is not always as simple as draining a little water and calling it good.

This zero edge pool had a full catch basin system, water spilling over the edges, and equipment located two floors down in the basement — so every step had to be handled carefully.

Our technician was walking through the full process, draining each section, protecting the plumbing, checking the equipment, and bringing everything back to the proper winter level.

Texas weather can change fast, and one hard freeze can turn trapped water into expensive repairs. That’s why proper winterization matters.

If your pool needs to be winterized, inspected, or protected before colder weather hits, PoolBurg is here to help.

Pool pump problems can be frustrating, especially when the pump has power but still will not run properly.

On this job, the homeowner’s pool pump was getting power, but after testing it, we found that the drive was shot.

Instead of guessing or pushing one option, we explained what was going on and gave the customer two choices: repair the drive or replace the pump.

They chose replacement, so our PoolBurg tech got to work removing the old setup, installing the new pump, and checking that the system was running the way it should.

That is how we like to do things — clear diagnosis, honest options, and work done right.

If your pool pump is not turning on, losing flow, making strange sounds, or just acting off, give PoolBurg a call.

Another pool pump fixed in Frisco, Texas. 💧

This customer’s pool pump was getting power, but the drive was shot — meaning the system still had electricity going to it, but the pump itself could not operate properly.

We walked the customer through the issue, explained what was happening, and gave them two honest options: repair the drive or replace the pump.

They chose replacement, so our team handled the process and got the pool system running again.

That is how we like to do things at PoolBurg: clear diagnosis, honest options, no pressure, and a clean walkthrough so the customer knows exactly what was done.

The customer was happy, the pool was back on track, and that is a good day in Frisco. 🙌

If your pool pump is not working, making strange noises, getting power but not running, or giving you trouble, give PoolBurg a call.
