Sometimes the leak is a bit more tricky than loose flashing or a low nail. Reed tracked down this leak on a chimney cap that would go virtually unseen without climbing up and looking.

When working on these larger commercial projects, it's easy to overlook the impact a new roof can have on the curb appeal of the single units. We'll be replacing the roofs and giving all of these units a fresh, updated look with Owens Corning Roofing shingles. 😄🌦🏠

A quick tip for first time homebuyers: if the roof looks wavy and weird, ask your home inspector or roofer to take a look at the edge of the roof. If you have two layers of shingles instead of one, you may have a problem on your hands. Two-layered roofs are technically allowed, but are not recommended for a bevy of issues (including hiding damage that may have occurred before the new layer was installed). They cost more during a replacement as well due to increased labor and debris removal. It’s something to consider when looking at a new property.

The first week at Charleston Lakes wraps up today. Roof Revivers will be out in Canal Wi******er for another four weeks as we replace roofs across the condo community. These new dimensional shingles will suit the residents here much better than the old three-tabs they have now.
