The splice of 3/0 wires by the split bolt end up arcing with the cover of the trough on the top of the panel and burned through the cover and the split bolt melted partially. Check the feeders (2 hots and 1 neutral) are going through 1/2" holes and it is the code violation.

We fixed it by replacing the split bolts with the multi tap wire connectors and 2.5" ni**le was installed to contain the feeders to the panel.

The upper left hand corner is the new main surge suppressor for the whole house - protects your expensive household equipment like computers, washer, dryer, refrigerator, TVs, routers and etc. from unexpected power surge,
