We had the opportunity to help provide a new roof for a widow in our community through the Never Alone Foundation, and it reminded us why partnerships like this matter so much.
The relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and businesses willing to step in and help widows facing overwhelming circumstances.
That help can look like house cleanings, yard work, electrical repairs, plumbing, or even something as major as a roof replacement. These are things many of us take for granted, but for someone suddenly navigating life alone, they can become impossible burdens.
It is hard to imagine the relief this brings to widows who are simply trying to survive and keep moving forward.
This mission is deeply personal to the Foundation’s founder, Mary, a former member of our own team. In 2019, Mary lost her husband Joey to stage four melanoma just six months after his diagnosis. At only 34 years old, he passed away, leaving behind Mary and their three young children.
In Mary's words: “I had to learn to provide on my own, use tools I had no knowledge of and skills I didn’t have. I was alone. As I struggled, I determined that I would someday be a voice for my widowed community. They would be forgotten no more.”
Out of unimaginable loss, Mary created the Never Alone Foundation to ensure widows and widowers have support, dignity, hope, and a community that refuses to let them walk through grief alone.
We’re honored to play a small part in that mission.
If you’re a business owner, contractor, service provider, or simply someone looking to make a difference, we encourage you to support organizations like Never Alone Foundation. Sometimes the greatest impact we can make is simply showing up for people when they need it most.
